We loved this resort. It rained most of the week but we spent quality time with our families. Food was good. No complaints about the rooms. We used the gym. We found out on our end of the week they make the best margaritas. We did a tour with Elvis Tours, highly recommend. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Stayed here for 2 weeks and had an amazing time. Rooms are big and clean. Staff is very polite, helpful and friendly. The big pool is just amazing. Restaurants are very good, great variety in food and themes. It was my first Iberostar experience but it won't be my last. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

My wife and I went there on our honeymoon in March 2020 (right before the pandemic was declared). The good (in order of importance): 1-Environmentally-friendly (Rooms were equipped with a reusable water bottle to cut back on the plastic consumption. We could refill for free at centralized locations on every floor). 2-Staff was all friendly and attentive to our needs. Front-desk got us a quiet room away from the noise coming from the pool area, the performance center, the night club, the restaurants, and the beach. 3-Buffets featured a wide selection of foods to satisfy the whole family, even the fussy eaters. 4-The alcohol they served was from the premium brands, not the cheap generic stuff. And we could drink all we wanted at the buffets, restaurants, performance center bar, night-club bar, beach-side bar, or pool-side bar. Anywhere! 5-They gave us a complimentary half-hour massage session at the spa (in exchange for us sitting through a presentation where they tried to sell us a timeshare). We also received a fruit basket with a rum bottle. 6-The facility was clean and foot-friendly (in case you want to go out for a stroll). 7-The room had decent wifi service and free use of the safe. The bad: 1-It cost me over $200 per night. 2-Our room had a musky moldy smell. But once we acclimated, we would forget how bad it was. 3-Our room’s closet had several clothes hangers, all of which were rusted. 4-Our room’s furniture was stained and discolored. 5-Our room had few electric sockets, forcing us to unplug the coffee pot and the TV to charge our cell phones. 6-The bathtub was stained and rusted. 7-The bed did not have a comforter, which we needed to keep warm and toasty at night. 8-The food court was ridden with birds and flies. We could find the latter hovering the food, when they were not already dead in it. Tip: Reserve in advance to get the best deals. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Third and Last Visit

It has taken a long time to write this review, however better late than never. I had visited the resort for the first time with my mom a few years before and it was a wonderful time. The next year I returned with my husband. After a bumpy first few nights (loud partying people down the way), we were moved in the 8000 block and loved waking up to the sound of the birds. One year away to try Jamaica, and I returned again with my mom. It was the first time I used a travel agency and it somehow got booked under my mom's name ..... could that be why we never were recognized as a return guest until I mentioned it? And even then it was done with hesitation like I was being dishonest. A simple check with my last name should have done the trick. We had 4 visits from the increasingly hostile security for a malfunctioning safe - absolutely ridiculous. Our shower plugged up and had to be fixed. Our ceiling was dripping onto the floor leaving a water puddle. We had to walk over a towel or I feared my mom would slip. There was water that did pool in the walkway and she fall one day. 2 maids just looked at her and did nothing as she picked herself up. We walked by countless doors that had WELCOME BACK on the door. Not us. Yes, it seems petty, but it is nice to be recognized along with the others. Food = great Horseshoes or bocce ball = not great. The staff sure does not like losing and will cheat just to win which leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Yoga on the beach = great Water aerobics = great Evening entertainment = great Golf cart with luggage to front desk = great Returning for year 4? No way. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We are loyal repeat guests. The main reason we return here is the excellent service we receive. It is also a small resort which is useful when I travel with my elderly mother. We both looked forward to returning since it had been a couple of years since we had visited. Check-in was fast, we didn’t have to wait for our room. Our room was on the ground floor, not too far from the beach and facing the pool. Always kept clean and had the pleasure of towel decorations as a thank you by our cleaning lady. The grounds are kept immaculate, loved seeing the peacocks wandering around the resorts and the orchids were in bloom. We kept to the El Mercado (the main buffet restaurant) for breakfast and dinner as there is a good variety and selection of food. Muchas gracias en particular a Kennedy por el excelente servicio que nos has dado. Lunchtime buffet is at the Restaurante Tropical (near the pool). Muchas gracias en particular a Dulce! The beach wasn’t crowded. No seaweed, but a lot of waves. No trouble in finding shade, either at the beach nor by the pool. Gracias a Glen (Zumba). The Animation Team is hard-working, friendly and engaging. The hotel can be proud of their team! We were there at the beginning of the COVID situation. Hand sanitizers were available all around the resort, everything was kept clean – no complaints at all. It was sad to know that the hotel had to close, tough for the employees. Hope everyone is safe. The staff is friendly, courteous and efficient. The service was excellent – my mom was treated like a queen! I have nothing negative to say. We shall definitely return. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
