Good Hotel

Jun 13th, 2019

Stay Report - 6/10 - 6/11 Location: The hotel is located in the heart of the French Quarter on the corner of Iberville and Dauphine, one block from Bourbon Street.  You're also only a block from Canal Street.  This means if you want to be a tourist in New Orleans you can hardly do better.  The hotel itself shares its building with the Ritz Carlton and there's a Hyatt Centric across the street.  MSY is a $35 Uber ride away.  Hotel: The hotel feels less like a Courtyard than most I've been to.  There's an entrance on the 1st floor on Iberville and you take an elevator to the lobby on the 2nd floor.  The lobby is nice and has four computers in a business center as well as a snack shop and a coffee shop which serves the Bistro Breakfast.   Check In: Helped by a friendly and helpful agent who confirmed what my Titanium benefit would be and used my name a lot which made me feel valued. Room: I was upgraded to a king suite which was pretty nice.  A small living room with a kitchenette, large couch and television which were actually separated from the bedroom which had its own TV.  The bathroom was nicer than average as well.  I enjoyed all the space I had and I had no noise issues.   Other: On the morning of my departure the hotel's Wifi was down.  This meant no Wifi in the rooms or at the lobby business center.  I ended up having to leave early and walk to a FedEx Office to do some work which cost me money and was really annoyingly.  It soured the otherwise pleasant stay.  I'm still likely to return though, the location is good as are the rooms.  TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Hotel location is great

Jun 6th, 2019

This is our 3rd time staying at the Courtyard on Iberville. The hotel is in a great location, just a couple blocks off of Bourbon St. It is surprisingly quiet. The hotel is comfortable. I have found most of the views from the hotel stink. Our first visit we had a great view the last two times we have looked out at a brick wall. I have noticed the service at front desk has declined. From the moment we checked in to the when we checked out the front desk were unwelcoming. We felt like a bother each time we stopped by the front desk. However the service at front desk would not stop me from staying here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Spacious room in a great location

Jun 1st, 2019

We had a nice weekend at the French Quarter Courtyard where everything is within walking distance. Our suite was spacious with comfortable king size beds in separate rooms with plenty of space to read and work. We enjoyed having a cup of morning coffee in comfortable chairs in the Vieux Carre Cafe. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great location incompetent & nonchalant staff

May 28th, 2019

This hotel is good for one thing only, THE LOCATION! The staff that runs this hotel are incompetent and borderline unprofessional. From the minute I got here front desk could not tell me how much security deposit they had charged me, they delivered pillows and blankets meant for another room to my room, when my friend asked for extra blankets one of the workers who looked high kept writing down the wrong room number, all of this would have been forgivable if valet had not charged me $140 for parking space that neither I nor the people staying with me had. Where they do that at? How do you charge for a whole parking space that does not exist, and I booked this hotel SPECIFICALLY so we would not need a car. Their excuse was that valet got the wrong room. The incompetence of it all. Management really needs to give the staff intense training and figure out why they can’t get the room numbers right. Nice hotel in great location

May 26th, 2019

Stayed here for three nights in one of the king suite rooms with two king beds. It was a great arrangement for us and our adult daughter. Not a huge fan of the barn door on the bathroom, but guess it was a space saver. Not a lot of floor space for suitcases and only one hook in the bathroom, but we worked around those issues. Beds were very comfortable. My biggest complaint was the stained carpet. They need to replace it or at least get the carpets cleaned. Sadly, that is how most mid priced hotels are. Take some slippers or flip Flops! I would recommend you ask for a room away from the elevators near the end of the hall as you will get folks returning late at night being boisterous. You definitely here hall noise if you have the bed nearest the door. The location was great as it is a block off Canal (so no street noise) but close enough to the action if you walk a few blocks. Lots of restaurants nearby. We would definitely consider staying there again if we return to New Orleans. Just FYI. The breakfast and “happy hours” are not free as they are in some Marriotts.
