A real getaway

Nov 18th, 2019

This magnificent hotel was a real getaway from the hustle bustle of Positano. Beautiful rooms and views of the sea and nearby towns of the Amalfi Coast. The staff is kind and friendly and ready to respond to your every need. Meticulously kept and don’t miss a tour of the gardens. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent but isolated

Nov 6th, 2019

The hotel is tops in every manor. Not 2 rooms are alike. There are 3 restaurants, each one with the visit. The views are spectacular. The hotel car will bring you to places in close proximity. There is an elevator down to the beach, really rock, area. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Spectacular Setting

This was the best hotel experience one could imagine. Room...wonderful. Service impeccable. Looking forward to our next visit. The beachfront facility was over the top. We especially liked the restaurant on the sand. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The highlight of our honeymoon

Nov 4th, 2019

We stayed at Il San Pietro for 4 nights during our honeymoon in mid-October 2019. It is a remarkably special place that we can't wait to return to (worth every euro). The balconies are incredible (even for a standard room), no detail was overlooked on the property, morning yoga, and the breakfast was straight out of a dream. It seemed to be a bit quieter in October even though the temperature was still quite warm which was perfect. A lot of the beach clubs we had planned to visit were already closed for the season but I don't think we would have gone to them anyways because we didn't want to leave the resort property! We stayed at "world renowned" 5-star hotels in both Florence and Ravello after our trip to Positano but we couldn't stop talking about Il San Pietro and how much we wanted to go back! No, not worth it. Except for breakfast on the terrace.

Nov 4th, 2019

They have some rooms that suck - above the reception with constant noise from the cleaner's room and via the balcony from the terrace bar. They still charge a fortune for these sub standard rooms. The clientele are exclusively super wealthy. This can be nice, but can be unpleasant also. Some of the reception staff are too cool for school. They act like you're beneath them if you're 'new'. Breakfast on the restaurant balcony almost makes it worthwhile. Position is a nightmare. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
