Worth the Splurge!

Dec 11th, 2019

First-time visitor with a new vow to return! Gorgeous, cliff-side hotel with exceptional service at every level. Spouse has vertigo and we were very fortunate to have room 60, which looked south over the pool and the hillside town of Praiano--instead of the steep drop of some other rooms, so he was able to enjoy the balcony. Our room was the only one on our floor and this made it feel exclusive. Large room (suite) with huge pink marble bathroom, and endless closets. In-room complimentary prosecco and chocolates upon arrival were a delightful treat. Tasting menu dinner at Zass was scrumptious and service was superb. One can view the state-of-the-art kitchen. Especially loved the most sumptuous breakfast buffet ever--so many wonderful choices, all beautifully displayed. I hope that never changes. The elegant but comfortable lobby was an inviting space to hang out in during the rain, where we played cards and enjoyed the wet views. We found the staff to be exceptionally friendly, helpful and not at all standoffish (unlike some other reviewers). The shuttle to/from Positano was very helpful. I don't really need to visit the town of Positano again (pretty, yet so touristy--full of people, like me!) but one of my new life goals is to return to Il San Pietro! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A real getaway

Nov 18th, 2019

This magnificent hotel was a real getaway from the hustle bustle of Positano. Beautiful rooms and views of the sea and nearby towns of the Amalfi Coast. The staff is kind and friendly and ready to respond to your every need. Meticulously kept and don’t miss a tour of the gardens. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent but isolated

Nov 6th, 2019

The hotel is tops in every manor. Not 2 rooms are alike. There are 3 restaurants, each one with the visit. The views are spectacular. The hotel car will bring you to places in close proximity. There is an elevator down to the beach, really rock, area. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This was the best hotel experience one could imagine. Room...wonderful. Service impeccable. Looking forward to our next visit. The beachfront facility was over the top. We especially liked the restaurant on the sand. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The highlight of our honeymoon

Nov 4th, 2019

We stayed at Il San Pietro for 4 nights during our honeymoon in mid-October 2019. It is a remarkably special place that we can't wait to return to (worth every euro). The balconies are incredible (even for a standard room), no detail was overlooked on the property, morning yoga, and the breakfast was straight out of a dream. It seemed to be a bit quieter in October even though the temperature was still quite warm which was perfect. A lot of the beach clubs we had planned to visit were already closed for the season but I don't think we would have gone to them anyways because we didn't want to leave the resort property! We stayed at "world renowned" 5-star hotels in both Florence and Ravello after our trip to Positano but we couldn't stop talking about Il San Pietro and how much we wanted to go back!
