Suites needed updating badly

Dec 18th, 2020

We booked a suite for 2 nights because our son was having surgery at the Steadman Clinic in Edwards, CO. The room was supposedly handicap friendly. What a joke. The beds were so high that our 6'4" son could not even get into bed after surgery. When we called the night before to see if there was another room or if we could cancel, the night clerk was extremely rude and said that we should have cancelled it by 3:00 that afternoon. Kinda hard to do when you don't check into the hotel until 4. So, after a miserable night we were checking out and the front desk daytime assistant was extremely kind and accommodating, she did show us another room that was handicap accessible, that room was MUCH better but it was still too tight for crutches to manuver safely. The second room was much cleaner and updated. The Suite was absolutely filthy. There were black stains all over the carpet, the furniture was falling apart and even without surgery it was impossible to get around things as it was so cluttered. We were not charged for the second night. (we never stayed the second night) It was easier on our son, after a 4 hour surgery to take a 4 1/2 car ride back home. At almost 400.00 a night we expected A LOT MORE. We won't be staying at The Inn at Riverwalk again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I loved my stay here

Nov 4th, 2020

The room was spacious and it had just been remodeled and was excellent. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very quiet, which is one of my most important factors. Plenty of restaurants nearby and just a very nice place to stay.I will definitely stay here again. I was not able to take advantage of the bicycles or snow shoes because it’s the off-season. This would be a great place to spend a couple of days. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Covid non-compliance, Noisy and overrated with small rooms

Oct 8th, 2020

This hotel is in a really nice location. But that is all it has going for it. The beds are ok, but the pillows are quite thin once you put your head on them. The rooms are clean enough in a non-Covid world. But in today’s standards finding hairs in a tub or on the toilet means they just didn’t do their job. My takeout boxes still sat on top of the laundry room trash can (one gallon size waste basket like you would use in you bathroom) 2 days later. Smears of some type of fluids on door switches and elevator buttons. That hotel is situated close to I 70. The rooms are not very well insulated, so you can hear road traffic most of the day and night. Also there is construction on the road near the hotel. You can hear loud booms and the trucks coming and going from the construction area at all hours. Quite noisy, with very little insulation. Hotel hallways have a weird smell, and carpets are quite dirty. Also the Covid mandate requiring a face mask is ignored by more than half the patrons that I noticed while I was there. It is simply not enforced by the staff. The rooms are not luxurious at all. They are very basic, with very little storage. 2 towels per room, and no daily cleaning right now. The bathroom counter is barely big enough for your toothbrush and toothpaste. A tiny chair and ottoman is squeezed into one corner of the room but you really can’t get to it because the bed is right next to it. Also many of the cable channels are unavailable. You try and watch something on TV and all it says is this channel is unavailable. There are much better hotels for similar prices in the area. Hard to believe they charge so much for this hotel. Loved this hotel

Sep 9th, 2020

Beautiful dog friendly hotel in a great area. Loved how close you are to Vail without being in the busyness there. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance and the river walk behind the hotel was a great spot to walk my puppers. Pool and hot tub were a real treat during the snow storm I experienced there. Hotel was so clean. Fantastic beds. Awesome coffee bar. They have done a great job with signage and information about Covid. Staff was kind and patient. I witnessed a very rude guest accosting one of the front desk agents and she handled the situation beautifully. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great place for a good price

Sep 1st, 2020

A little hard to find with lots of traffic and traffic circles!!! In a building with lots of stores. Really nice hotel. Lobby was very inviting with lots of varieties of coffee/tea to enjoy after a long trip. The room was wonderful. The beds were big, fluffy and smelled clean and crisp. And the pillows were killer!! Bathroom was big and clean. Really nice shampoo and bath gel available. Microwave and fridge (that wasn't very cold). Airconditioning wasn't very cold (it was a warm afternoon) and we couldn't get it to turn down. I would definitely stay here again as it was a good deal! PS: very nice walking trail along a pretty river right behind the hotel TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
