Clean, Quiet Room but Lacked Customer Service

Nov 7th, 2020

I checked into this hotel for a yearly event and it was a headache from the start. I received an email from the brand offering an upgrade with early check-in for a nominal fee. I agreed to the upgrade through the link and even called the hotel 24-hrs in advance and once I landed at the airport, to confirm the specific room type would be available and was advised yes. I get to the hotel to check-in and they attempted to charge me again for early check-in that I already paid. Not to mention it was at a higher rate. After 20 minutes, they finally agreed to honor the fees I already paid and then put me in a room that was much smaller and not what I reserved. I went back to the front desk and asked about the availability of the correct room type and I was treated like I was bothering the clerk from talking on the phone. I had to wait almost 2 hours before they finally put me in a room close to what I reserved, but I was tired and just took the 2nd room. The room was clean and quiet, but the hallways had a funny smell. There was no one from housekeeping who checked to see if I needed anything or a room cleaning during my 3 day stay. I placed a room service order on the 1st night I was there, and my meal was $29.99. I understand there is a fee for room services, but how shocked was I when I checked out only to see my bill for my meal and room service with taxes was over $102? I have no plans to ever use this location again for lodging. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

True Hospitality

Mar 17th, 2020

A family emergency called us to Baltimore for one week. From the moment we arrived everyone form the General Manager to the valet attendants could not do enough for us. Interestingly enough I saw the same treatment to other visitors, business people and anyone how stayed there. These are the people that understand they are in the hospitality business. The room was great, but the people made it wonderful. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great location and rate

Mar 15th, 2020

I was staying in Baltimore while my sister was at Union Memorial Hospital. This hotel gave me a great Medstar rate, and since I was not sure how long my sister would be in the hospital, my reservation was flexible. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Needs rehab

Mar 12th, 2020

The hotel lobby was undergoing renovation. Unfortunately it doesn’t appear that the rooms were. The scheme of the rooms is generally dark and somewhat depressing. The hotel is located near Johns Hopkins University and to that extent if you are visiting it is a reasonable location. Otherwise it would be both expensive and difficult to get to most main entertainment areas. The food was typical of most hotel food and well it was not very interesting, the staff was excellent in the restaurant and very accommodating. One problem for my stay was that the people in the room next-door were quite noisy most of the evening and late at night. There is a little soundproofing apparently between rooms. Overnight stay

Mar 10th, 2020

We stayed here for just one night checking in around 3 pm and out by 11am the next morning. The check in process took about 10 minutes and the room was $160 per night. Self park was $30 and valet was $47. The overall appearance of the lobby was nice but not amazing. The elevator was clean but needs updating and a good cleaning. We arrived at our room to find one towel and one washcloth in the bathroom. They arrived 15 minutes later with more towels without us calling. The ourall condition of the room was good but not great. What made it not great? The faucet was loose, paint peeling, one pillow each, no cup to wash your mouth, limited bath amenities and other small issues like these. The bed was comfortable and the staff were very friendly. Overall I would stay there again if the price was right. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
