Perfect base for exploring Seattle

Apr 21st, 2019

As a first-time visitor to the mainland US, we relied on recommendations to choose this hotel. It was fantastic, right in the centre of the famous market precinct but also close to the waterfront and main shopping districts. We could not fault the staff - they were so helpful and professional. The make-your-own Starbucks coffee in reception was a nice touch. Our room was comfortable, clean and had an amazing view of Puget Sound each morning. Contrary to some reviews, we did not find it noisy at all, and thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay. Will definitely recommend. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Convenient location, walking distance to restaurants, mod style, large rooms, small bathrooms, clean, slow valet

Apr 19th, 2019

This was my first time actually driving in Seattle instead of taking a taxi, and the GPS directions to the hotel weren’t exactly accurate. The hotel looks more like condos than a hotel, so just be sure to drive towards the giant neon “Public Market” sign and the hotel valet is on your right. Check-in was easy, getting to the room reminded me of a guesthouse in Edinburgh. Up the elevators, down a hall, through a door, back outside on a walkway open to the courtyard (which was strongly smelling like cooking fish from the restaurant below), through another door, and down a hall. My reward: a room full of windows with a beautiful view of the water and an interesting view of the market. The room itself: spacious and done up in a pseudo-mod style with burnt orange accents mixed with modern end tables and a tasteful (if small) bathroom. It was clean - my allergies were fine overnight. The bed was comfortable enough. The closet was huge (but had a slightly musty smell, so I left the door open when my clothes were in it). I waited a lot longer than the 8 minutes that I was told it would take to pick up my car from valet. They apparently formerly used two garages, but now are using only one. Ask early, expect to wait. Provided toiletries were by Antica Farmacista in a light grapefruit scent: shampoo, conditioner, bath gel and bar soap (all okay), and a body lotion (very good). Also provided: cotton balls, cotton swabs, slippers, robes, and a shoe mitt. The hair dryer was so-so (standard hotel). A small snack bar is available for purchase in the room (and includes a selection of Advil, water, candy, etc.). Walking distance to many restaurants, my friend and I had a nice meal at a restaurant/bar with live music just a couple of blocks and down some stairs away. Would I stay again? Maybe. But I much prefer the Four Seasons down the street (I I so missed Fran’s). I would also maybe choose somewhere else, just to try. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

MY GO-TO PLACE IN SEATTLE

Apr 13th, 2019

I stumbled upon the Inn and what a find. Most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in! Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Valet and check in was a breeze. Location, location, location. Steps away from Pike Place Market, Ferries, Space Needle Etc. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
