Nicely renovated , but!!

Jan 15th, 2020

A beautiful old hotel that has been tasteful renovated.expensive valet parking , but I'm thankful for Paul the valet , he was awesome , not so much for the others. Stay away from the sales staff, the will use every high pressure sales technique in the book to sell to you, even when you say no , the will even change out the sales person to try to get a sale , we had 4 different sales guys to try to get the sale. Please stop the sales pressure!

Dec 23rd, 2019

Our one-bedroom unit with a balcony was very nicely remodeled recently: The interior furnishings and fixtures were modern and pristine. Staff were friendly, but Wyndham's policy of requiring guests to interact with the "concierge," who is apparently a salesperson, is no way to start off an enjoyable vacation. I repeatedly said I did not want to attend a presentation, and I voiced my concerns about the dishonesty of previous sales presentations, but the "concierge" continued to pressure us, with the line, "Well, it IS a business." It's a business that focuses on sales much more than service. Although a relatively trivial matter, the "concierge" promised a bottle of wine as a gift in celebration of our wedding anniversary -- which was the occasion for our trip. But the gift was never delivered -- which appears to be consistent with Wyndham's practice to over-promise and under-deliver. This hotel also has a "valet-only" parking policy, which appears to be one more way to boost the profit margin. It's easy enough for guests to park in the parking lot, and it's much easier to load and unload a car there rather than on the street, but you'll get an assertive note if you park yourself -- even if you're paying for the valet service. Other than the sales pressure, the inconvenience of waiting for a valet, and the noise from airplanes landing at the nearby airport, it was a pleasant enough stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

3 day San Diego trip

Oct 5th, 2019

Had a great time in San Diego staying at Inn at the Park. Apartment was lovely, colourfull and something a bit more arty than the usual. Art deco feel, right on the park, close to heaps of museums etc. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Hotel near to Balboa Park

Nice and renovated hotel. Room with full kitchen. No pool and no balcony. The groceries stores are far. The staff is average. Spent time with timeshare presentations. Far from city attractions. Better to take an hotel near Gaslamp. The room services do not do your beds, only change toilet towels. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Awesome experience!

Our celebration with friends in San Diego was truly memorable! We arrived early and were allowed to leave our bags prior to checking in. We'd read the reviews for "Jimmy Carter's" - which served us a wonderful breakfast. We love the location, history and feel of the Inn. It's beautifully decorated and has an old world vibe. Staff were friendly, helpful and cheery - made us feel as if we were home! Thank you for an amazing time Inn at the Park. We can't wait to visit again! Michigan Family TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
