Sketchy

Feb 15th, 2020

This was certainly not our favourite hotel/motel on our trip, but it was by no means the worst. We arrived late at night and the receptionist unlocked (this was the first hint it wasn't situated in the most welcoming of areas) door. Check in was simple and they required a credit/debit card for incidentals. The lift was then out of order, however the receptionist did help us carry our bags up the two flights of stairs. Upon entering the room, the smell of marijuana was palpable. This smell never left the room but you just adapted to it. The room, other than the smell, was actually fairly clean. It was also very spacious and the bed was large. There were great amenities like a microwave, large fridge and a TV with lots of channels. There was no safe however. The heating was excellent and the shower was okay. Unfortunately housekeeping was not great, 2 of the 5 nights we stayed, housekeeping didn't attend our room despite our door having the 'maid requested' sign visible for the majority of the day. When they did clean the room however, it was completed to a very high standard. The location of the motel is also good, there are buses all around and it is walkable to Fisherman's Wharf and even downtown if you're active! Despite the motel having lots of 'extra' safety features and the previous comment, the area during the day felt pretty safe. If I returned to San Francisco on a budget then I would consider staying here again, however if I returned on a one-off then I would probably look for somewhere that was a bit more pricey. Great Motel Great Value

Feb 11th, 2020

I was nervous booking this motel, and was pleasantly surprised great staff and very accommodating, location feels safe, very clean, good size rooms. If your looking for five star luxury then this is not the place for you as it has some wear but if your looking for a good, clean place to lay your head and you don’t mind a little wear then come here. The parking garage is below and limited parking above. Parking is free for the night we stayed, we were able to leave our car for 10 days while we sailed for minimal charge and taxi back and forth to shop. We all would definitely stay again. Great location, awesome employees

Jan 24th, 2020

Always my first choice in San Francisco. Good value and a perfect location at Broadway and Van Ness. Within walking distance of Fisherman’s Wharf, Fort Mason, the ‘World’s Crookedest Street, Chinatown and much more. Shopping and endless dining options are also walking distance. Polk Street is only a block away and Chestnut and Union Streets are a few blocks. Check in is always quick and easy with awesome employees that know what they’re doing. Every room has a fridge and microwave and there’s plenty of free parking. Maybe it’s not the fanciest of places, but you can’t go wrong by choosing this place. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Inn on Broadway has a terrible service.

Dec 4th, 2019

Read well the cancellation policy Inn on Broadway has. They will not work with their customers, even if you have an emergency and cannot make it to the hotel. They only care about money, not about their customers. I called them ahead to make an accommodation on my reservation because I had a last minute emergency AND they did not work with me. The excuse they said is "no show" and charged me any way. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A place to sleep

Nov 16th, 2019

3 nights in San Francisco. First impression was off: the hotel grants free parking but its really really small; the receptionist was temperemental (he curses and threatens to cancel the reservation of one guest); the elevator was old. The rooms were clean though, but outdated. If you are looking for a place to sleep, and a good location for a fair price, this is your hotel. The neighborhood seems okay also. There's no food or room service for the hotel though. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
