Sleek hotel but didn’t blow me away

Jun 25th, 2019

We just stayed here and the hotel is quite beautiful and modern. Loved the gym and pool area but really wished it had a hot tub. The room was very sleek and spacious. We really liked the large bathroom. Overall, it was a good stay but there were no amenities for the children and it lacked a bit of personality in my opinion. The front desk clerks were helpful but overall the hotel and staff could use a bit of pizzazz. The hotel was located close to the tea party museum, Faneuil hall and the acquarium. All are within walking distance. Valet parking fee was reasonable. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Best for location service and attending a conference

Jun 15th, 2019

Definitely the best hotel I have stayed at in Boston and I have stayed at several. Attending a conference , on the same day without notice, I reached out to GM Rice as an Ambassador member requesting a nice room away from the elevator . I had no business expecting a response being so late but immediately the Director of Rooms Chris Wulff reached out to confirm a nice room and when i checked in I met GM Rice and was able to thank him. GM Rice was at one time was at the Hong Kong Intercontinental so we traded stories. Great room upgrade and welcome amenity The location is right on the Harbor so it's a beautiful location. My room overlooked the Tea Party ship and museum. After attending the opening reception which was located on the ground floor both indoor and outdoor with a spectacular view, I took directions from Adam the Concierge who was awesome for whatever I needed and had a walk around the area which was full of restaurants . Thanks to Kevin also . For a conference location it’s was awesome not just because of the Intercontinental service but the meals food snacks staff around to guide you all made this a wonderful conference facility and I definitely recommend it not just for personal travel for for a conference facility. The gym was excellent with everything you need and enough equipment so wait times were not an issue . Also has a pool. Check in and out was a breeze and it’s not a bad ride to and from the airport. All the employees I ran into were polite, Housekeeping was also super. All of this points to a well run property and Kudos to GM Rice for his leadership and great team. Service is key with Intercontinental and this GM based at one time in HK would know that. You Rock GM Rice! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Fantastic Hotel

Jun 14th, 2019

Stayed overnight so our family could visit the New England Aquarium and Boston Children's Museum while also wondering the city for the first time. The location was perfect for this and the room was great. Selected a double bed with water view and enjoyed several hours in the room just watching the harbor area and local scene while relaxing before and after dinner. Plenty of food/entertainment options within the area to walk to. Our room was extremely clean, not even paint scuffs or scratches on furniture. Our room was ready a couple hours after checking in around 9:30am. Valet parking at check-in was easy. I was a bit confused where to pick up the car, as they have you go to the back of the lobby and take an elevator down to the garage basement to retrieve your car....not an issue, just unexpected and a bit confusing at first. We ate breakfast at Miel and planned on having a grab-and-go option (as the website says they offer there), but that apparently wasn't running this morning so we sat down for breakfast. My daughter asked for a bagel and after 20 minutes the waiter informed us they didn't have any and they went to get some. The waiter was also slow and not attentive and our food wasn't great, but that was our real only complaint about the hotel. We would definitely recommend and go again, but we'd find somewhere else to grab some breakfast. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Amazing Stay

Jun 13th, 2019

We stayed here for a week in May/June to celebrate my 50th birthday. What an amazing hotel. Every member of staff we came across was extremely warm and friendly. Special shout out to Manta on reception. Had birthday treats sent to my room after check in. Hotel is in a central location for exploring Boston. We had a great room with an amazing view of the river. Thank you for helping to make our first trip to the States memorable. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
