What a HUGE Disappointment!

Jun 1st, 2020

Wow what a disappointment! I was so excited to stay here and let me tell you why it was SO BAD. I first get there, expecting to see Valet or someone in general like any other hotel. NOPE. Then I try to get into the building. The main entrance to the lobby was closed due to "weather" and stayed closed my entire stay, even though the weather was fine. I spent 20 mins trying to find out how to even get in. I get to the desk, and the guy behind the counter was getting screamed at over the phone and honestly I know why. Finally after checking it my price increased by 150 dollars for no reason and no explanation. The next day the other nicer, more professional guy, I'm assuming was the manager explains its an incidental fee and was actually very helpful. No robe in the room, which was advertised. Lastly, and most upsetting. I'm heading to my room and there's a group of housekeepers blocking the hall way. I say excuse me as I try to squeeze by. One of the housekeepers tries to get this young chicks attention to move to the side. She was like I'm not moving I don't give a F*ck if its a customer. Well being that at a hotel we are considered "guests".....that did it for me. I actually review hotels on my youtube channel, and I was so excited for this one. Not anymore. But anyway if you want a full video review just search Mrbucketlist hotel review. Stay away from this place... TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Honeymoon

May 28th, 2020

Stayed for our honeymoon. We brought our own drinks and were trying to put into the fridge. We moved drinks around not knowing we were being charged every time we did. Found out we had over a $100 in charges and I sent a text message letting them know what happened. They took it off right away without question. I loved how text was much easier and convenient. Also, texting to let me know when check in was and if I need anything. Made our stay memorable. Thank you again! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Amazing Mardi Gras Stay

Apr 16th, 2020

This was our first Mardi Gras ever and we are so glad that we chose to stay at InterContinental Hotel. It was right in the middle of all the action and we were so impressed with the level of service provided by the hotel. Special thanks to Salman and his team for taking great care of us. It was amazing to see how well they handled all the crowds. They even thought of making sure guests are getting on the elevators safely by controlling the crowds. Even with all the madness, we never experienced any issue and all of our requests were completed in a very timely manner. Kudos once again to Salman and his team, Mary, Anita, Sarah TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Quality hotel for cruise departures and arrivals

Apr 6th, 2020

We picked the InterContinental for a one-way cruise from New Orleans, through the Panama Canal to San Diego. It was an excellent choice. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Sleep quality was superb, location for exploring some of the New Orleans landmarks is perfect. The cruise terminal is no more than 15 minutes from the hotel (possibly less). Very convenient - VERY helpful and professional staff. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Wish I could go back

Mar 19th, 2020

Will definitely return some day. This hotel will treat you like royalty. I have never slept so well in my life. We spent a week here. Fabulous location, 5 mins to the top of the french quarter and just far enough away for a good rest. The staff are so non intrusive, offering great service but you would hardly know they are there. We went out late most days and our room was spotlessly cleaned when we returned. Expensive by european standards, but well worth the price. You dont mind paying more when it is worth it, TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
