Great staycation for anniversary

Jan 19th, 2021

Just spent a fantastic weekend in the city for our anniversary. Can’t thank Greg, Chief Concierge enough for looking after us with a great room, complimentary champagne and card etc. Rooftop bar best kept secret in Sydney. Rooms are undergoing renovations which will be welcomed but still a classy and well appointed hotel. Great to support a local hotel that has no doubt done it tough over the past 12 months TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Perfect staycation

Jan 18th, 2021

Recently spent one night at the intercontinental with a family group. I have now stayed here twice. I tossed up a number of other 5 stay hotels and really happy I stayed at the intercontinental. Check in was great, breakfast fabulous.. just a really lovely stay. The staff managed the covid restrictions really well. Honestly flawless experience. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This place was below expectations

Jan 4th, 2021

With the Covid situation we decided to stay in Sydney this year and chose this hotel as it is a well known upmarket hotel. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the room and the lack of any kind of customer support. We were there boxing day for 2 nights. The rooftop restaurant was not open for kids under 13. They did not provide any other restaurant for us to eat at. I tried to get a drink at the foyer bar. They advised they had no beer on tap. I asked for a Sydney beer from their menu. Sorry sir, not available. I finally got one that was available an it was warm. The swimming pool on Level 31 had so much chlorine that we could only stay for 5 minutes as my families eyes stung and turned bright red. We booked a harbour bridge view room but was told we had been shifted to an opera house view room. Got there and the opera house view was blocked by the construction of the building in front, however, we did have a great view of the Harbour Bridge. Considering that we paid exorbitant Christmas rates, I would have expected much better from this. Very poor. Would not stay again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Smooth check in with upgrade and generous late check out- until 1pm. Gorgeous looking landmark hotel updated to remain modern. Close to restaurants and shopping. Great cocktails and dessert in the bar downstairs TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Amazing Stay

Dec 16th, 2020

We finally were able to stay after the Covid-19 closures, and it was fantastic. We were warmly welcomed back, especially by Pinar, who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was wonderful. She is a totally professional ambassador for the hotel and leads an exceptional team. We were so lucky to be able to experience the opening of their pop-up lounge on the 32nd floor, Panorama Lounge and Bar. This is the previous venue for the exclusive Club Lounge and has been refurbished to ensure it is Covid-19 safe. The best news is that for a limited time it is not restricted to Club Level guests and is open from Thursdays to Sundays to all guests as long as you make a reservation. Club Level guests still enjoy the included sundowner drinks with the buffet being replaced by a 3 tier stand with a hot selection, cheeses, crackers and charcuterie options. I haven't mentioned the views because there really are no words that are adequate. Service is the best anywhere. We will be back again for sure! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
