We love the Islander. Just unpack and put your feet in the sand. We loved our room the screened in porch our private lounge chairs the view of the ocean abs the peacefulness it was the perfect getaway. I’ll miss my morning coffee just listening to the palm trees in the lovely breeze. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Holiday

Feb 24th, 2021

Weather location employee and usage of bikes, kayaks, etc made the trip. Food was somewhat limited but because of Covid 29 that’s to be expected would have enjoyed music or some kind of entertainment. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The resort is beautiful

Feb 22nd, 2021

This is a beautiful resort, but very overpriced. Our room from wednesday thru friday were reasonable but on Friday night the rate changed to 1000/night. We had to change hotels because we couldn't afford that rate. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The Islander in Islamorada is a Lovely Place

Feb 22nd, 2021

This was our first trip to the Keys, and we found the Islander a very good place to stay. The accommodations are very nice, restaurant services and food were excellent, excursions were excellent (Liz, Hanna and Ara were fantastic). Lots to do for couples or families. There is a nice screened patio and outdoor lounge chairs outside of each unit. Very private and a nice touch. The downsides were that the rooms were only refreshed every third day by housekeeping. At the least the rooms should cleaned (sand from the outside) and towels replaced be every other day. We had to ask for extra towels when we would see room attendants. The wastebaskets were very small and would fill up too quickly. Larger waste baskets are a must. The bath cabinets were small (1sink) and there was no place to put toiletries except on the window sill, which is inconvenient. Perhaps a shelf should be installed over the toilet. Overall a very good place to stay. We will be back!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
