Overall this is the best hotel experience I’ve had. Our top floor room with club 91 access made this unforgettable. The service, location and quality of the recently renovated hotel is exceptional. Highly recommended. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We are retired and travel extensively. Just this past winter we were in 3 different tropical locations. I mention this only as a way to give weight to our impression of the JW Marriott in Cancun. This resort has been remodeled and is lovely. The rooms are large and comfortable. Get one that faces the ocean on at least the 6th floor and up to give you a beautiful setting. The spa gym is well equipped. The buffet breakfasts are excellent as are the waitstaff and the setting as well. The lounge has entertainment each evening, and the staff thoughout the hotel are uniformly well trained and gracious. They have the MOST COMFORTABLE pool lounge chairs that we have ever seen. They're padded and have plenty of palapas to shade each. The infinity pool overlooks the best beach in Cancun, and the view of the ocean from the decks of the pools is mesmerizing, and the ocean is pristine sparkling blue. The many pools have shallow waters for little ones or grown ups who just want to stick in a toe, and plenty of water to do laps or float through the connecting "rivers". We had a marvelous cab driver that we came across the first night and used for the entire week: Miguel Gonzalez. The concierge desk can contact him for you. He even took us to the Mayan ruins where he hooked us up with his friend who was an authentic Mayan as our guide. Use Mayte at the Concierge desk. She's a gift. Skip their Thai restaurant. We intend to go back next February. It really was our favorite destination beach vacation and that says a lot. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Wonderful visit, awesome staff

Well the JW Cancun did it again!!! Outstanding visit due to outstanding employees throughout, welcoming facilities, great room and a beautiful beach. The cabana/pool staff of Carlos, Abner, Willem and others are awesome! I’ll be back soon my friends!!! The Beachwalk staff of Abey, Miguel and Gilberto were all over our needs. And made sure we didn’t wait long for drinks or snacks. And finally can’t say enough about the club 91 staff. They are all helpful and make for a wonderful time even while having a ton of people coming through. The food was excellent and drinks tasty. Big shout out to Miguel and Ernesto - professional, courteous and fun to talk to. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Hotel is Five star, Staff needs some work
Feb 26th, 2020
My husband, myself and our eight year old recently stayed at the hotel. Check in- We were coming from Puerto Moreloes so we requested to check in around one. We arrived and were told our room wasn’t ready. We asked if there was somewhere we could change and get in the pool. We were told no and had to roam aimlessly around the hotel until well after 3. We had breakfast included in our stay and no one mentioned how to use it or that we had it. Hotel- The hotels renovation is really wonderful. Our room was spotless and spacious. We stayed in an one bedroom grand ocean front. Pool- The pools were great. We rented a cabana , which I highly recommend because getting chairs by the pool in an optimal spot is difficult. Overall the facilities are far superior to the Ritz down the road. JW’s service is just not nearly as good. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
