Wonderful rooms with a great view

Fantastic location overlooking the sea. Lovely modern hotel with helpful staff. Room was very clean with good facilities, Mini bar rather expensive however this is Cannes. Beautiful if you have a sea view room... TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

La riviera

Great modern Hotel, sea front location with beautiful views, outdoor breakfast, centrally located. roof top pool, a bit small, great area on the roof for the 14th July fireworks. Staff is lovely and really helpful. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Decent Stay with Poor Service

I stayed for 5 nights in mid-August with my boyfriend who has titanium elite status. Unfortunately, we had a number of problems with our stay. The concierge staff was quite condescending and not very helpful. The breakfast buffet was limited in terms of options and disappointing in taste. The biggest disappointment of the stay was the appalling treatment from a staff member. We had just checked in on the first day and went up to the rooftop to lounge by the pool. There was not a lot of staff, but my boyfriend finally flagged down someone to get an umbrella set up. We waited 15 minutes and no one came (granted the pool was practically empty of guests). We finally decided to just open the umbrella ourselves (no big deal). Evidently, the umbrella we opened was semi broken (fixable but the top axel was out of the base stand). The kind ladies next to us attempted to help us fix it, but it was too tall / it was already broken before we had even touched it. A pool attendant finally came running over and rudely said "back away, I will fix." He then started yelling quite loudly saying how we had "ruined a $1,500 euro umbrella." The other hotel guests who had seen what happened started explaining we had not done anything we were trying to fix the already broken umbrella and didn't make it worse. He continued to argue back rudely (I was too in shock to say anything) and he dragged the umbrella away around 15 feet and managed to fix it with a hook after about 10 minutes. He brought it back after so we could get shade from the umbrella and walked away without another word. This honestly was the most shocking experience I've ever had a hotel, let alone a 5 star, but shame on you Marriott. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We reserved a non-smoking room. The room stunk of cigarette smoke. Complained to front desk who said she would send up a maid. I told her that would not solve the problem unless she was going to clean every surface and replace drapes, etc. No further help was offered. Upon checkout I spoke to a supervisor. Yes I should have done that originally. Supervisor offered us a box of chocolates which we declined. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

!!!Such an Amazing hotel

Marriott JW Cannes is such a wonderful hotel! Very beautiful, prestigious, amazing rooms, very good location (by the beach) and a great breakfast. In addition, the service was one of the best I have ever had in a hotel. the staff was so nice, helpful and lovely. Maxim on the reception is one of the best. You got to come here, we have enjoyed a lot! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
