Cubs Win!

Stayed here for Cubs-Pirates game. Tried to drive onto Adam's Street road construction right infront of hotel. Staff walked over to our car and asked if we were checking in. They helped guide us where to go and also apoligized for the inconvenience, fantastic guys! Nice hotel room, huge bathroom! Nice quiet. Front desk staff also great had a list of reccommened dining options. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

One slip up, otherwise great

This was a very nice hotel. The room (Quincy Suite) was large and well appointed. We had a problem with not getting our daughter’s pull out bed made after calling twice and waiting about 3 hours for someone to come do it (the bedding was not in the room or I would have done it myself). This was finally done well after her bedtime. The water in the bathtub was schizophrenic and would be cold, but then turn hot. The concierge suite food was fine. Service was otherwise very nice. Bed comfortable. Very quiet room. Nice and dark for sleeping. Loved the TV and how it was a guide on the screen. WiFi functioned well. Gym was very nice and nice pool and hot tub in the lowest level. Convenient to Union Station and financial district. We walked everywhere including restaurants and Hamilton show. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Practically Perfect in every way!

We just left the JW Marriott after a fabulous stay. Jennifer at the check-in desk, took great care with us and upon learning of our special anniversary had a little surprise sent to our room with a personalized note. These thoughtful touches characterized our entire stay. The room was beautifully appointed, quiet, and the soaking tub is large and generous fitting two comfortably. The pool was also lovely. Madison at check out was equally attentive. All in all, a fabulous place for a getaway. We look forward to our return! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Wonderful Helpful Concierge Staff

Great location close to the museums and theater. Many wonderful restaurants close by. We had a great packed weekend stay! Rooms were clean and well appointed. Really enjoyed the help the concierge staff was able to give us on how to get where we were going and best restaurants. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great Location

This was a nice hotel but there were some quirky things that I am sharing for consideration. The location is steps away from public transportation so easy to get to and get around the city from. There is a 7-11 essentially in the hotel property (corner of building) so you can get what you need for your room. There is a Dunkin Donuts on the other corner so you can run and get coffee or a quick breakfast if you want. However, along with that there are many homeless people sitting around that same corner. They weren't aggressive but it is important to know if that bothers you. The lobby and amenities, like the gymm are beautiful. My biggest complaints about the hotel are the height of the sink which made it almost impossible to brush my teeth. If you are 6 feet tall, you should be okay. But, it is about 8 inches higher than my sink at home and I am 5' 3". It had a bow front casing on the counter and the sink sat to the back of the counter so it was hard to reach the faucets. The counter literally came to just under my chest. Jumping up and standing on my tip toes hardly got me close enough to reach the water. Secondly, there is no fridge in the room. It is an automated mini bar. When you move the mini bar items to make room for your own stuff (in my case a bottle of wine) they automatically charge you for the mini bar items. If the sensor can tell the item is gone for more than 60 seconds, you get billed. Housekeeping put a note on my desk after the first day alerting me to this procedure. It said to call down and let them know this was in error, which I did. However, when I got my final bill I was charged for two $6 items that I did not eat/drink. This whole process of calling down to let them know I was keeping my wine in the fridge seemed ridiculous. Even after I thought I was vigilant about calling to have items removed from my bill, I still got stung. This just left me with a negative impression about the property. I would not return.
