Lovely hotel and grounds

Jan 26th, 2020

Loved our visit at this hotel. The amenities were great, clean rooms , and comfortable beds. The grounds are beautiful! Several pools with such views! There is one with a lazy river which i saw both adults and children enjoy. I preferred sitting by pool next to golf course, very quiet and peaceful. Had lunch at Pool restaurant served by Sean who was such a nice server and took excellent care of us.Chef Salads were great The prickly pear margarita was SO yummy! Revive spa was very relaxing, massages and enjoyed outdoor pool area there also. Travis was great at pool also keeping us with ice water and cocktails! Loved this hotel! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I stayed at the resort for a conference and enjoyed my stay so much that I will definitely try and return for a vacation. Everyone was friendly and accommodations were well-maintained. I upgraded to the Griffin Club and wow - the staff was incredible! The morning team (Amy, Mohammed, and I forgot the last woman's name!) were awesome. I always stay on the club level whenever a property offers it and this one definitely rates at the top! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

restful and fulfilling family vacation

Jan 14th, 2020

Our family (including young adult children) selected this location because we thought the guys could play golf and the girls could enjoy the spa and pools. Unfortunately for us, 2 weeks before leaving, our college age son had to have an ACL surgery so golf was out of the plan. A couple of days before our trip, I had received an email from Dominic Priola, one of the executive team managers at the resort, welcoming us for our stay with an invitation to let him know why we were visiting. I responded with a question of ideas to do with someone on the resort property who was post surgery, I mentioned that we were planning to bring some board games. Dominic immediately replied with some suggestions as well as some amazing accommodations for our family to make a space in our room for games. I was quite surprised when we checked in, Dominic came to the front desk to welcome us. I frequently stay at "Marriott" brand hotels, but was impressed by this level of personal concern and service for one guest. The Spa personnel were awesome and the facilities were clean, restful and well supplied. The resort had some fun family games of corn hole, ladder golf and ping pong outside as well as some fires to sit around. We were thankful for the pool attendants who provided an endless supply of water for hydration! Candy, at the concierge desk was very informative and helpful for local attractions to explore during the day! My husband and son wanted to go to a gun range, so she provided some information for them and made arrangements for them to participate. Summer and Terri at the front desk regularly greeted us as we went through the lobby and Summer was both proactive in helping us with a couple of requests that we needed to address while there as well as thorough in following through to make sure that they were addressed. I appreciated her professionalism. We ate in the restaurant every morning and were pleased with the wait staff. In particular, Marvia greeted us by name each morning and even saw us outside when she was leaving and addressed us by name. In conclusion, the amenities were great, but the customer service by the Marriott staff, from the executive management level, to the front desk staff, the pool attendants, the cleaning staff and restaurant staff were very impressive!!! Thank you for providing an atmosphere that made our family vacation AMAZING! We fully expected our time to be a bit of a disappointment because of my sons surgery, but all of us, including him were totally pleased. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good Conference Facility

Jan 12th, 2020

This is a hide hotel sprawling over a large area and only a few stories high. 25 mins drive from the airport, this hotel has a large golf course, nearly 900 rooms and many out door swimming pools. The reason for my stay was a conference but I was lucky enough to have time to explore the estate which is well kept and clean. Our function was over 400 participants so we used many of the rooms for breakouts outside of the main room. There was a good size stage and the backing and lighting worked well. The catering at breakfast was in smaller rooms but the lunch on both days was provided for the whole group at the same time. Many food stations available so waiting time was a minimum. During breaks there was an abundance of soft drink options and then water, tea and coffee. Plus snacks which differed each break time and always included a healthy option. Every staff member across the estate was pleasant, and welcoming. The room I had was a standard king size with balcony, the room being pretty big. The bathroom had a separate bath and shower. It was a nice stay buttttt....

Jan 5th, 2020

We stayed here the week after Christmas 2019. While the grounds were nice, this JW didn't match up to some of the others we've stayed at. 1. We went to the breakfast buffet downstairs and a lot of the stations had no food. The french toast was dry and hard. The eggs... cold. Blah. They ran out of strawberries and donuts (of course what my kids would eat!). My husband ordered from the menu and his food took FOREVER to come out. We had a few other issues and I did speak to the manager but I expected much more for a $30 breakfast. 2. I didn't think our room was cleaned very well. They also, on the daily, did not give us enough washcloths. You know there is 4 of us in the room, why leave 2 washcloths? Especially after asking day after day for more. 3. The resort is HUGE. Not necessarily a bad thing but it was a long walk to the parking lot, bike rental area and golf. 4. Disappointed in the kid club. They are only open 9am-12pm for a fee (parents must stay on premises too) and one night a week for a few hours for $55 a kid. Other than that and a few hours that parents can join their children to play board games, they aren't open. Kind of a let down. On the upside, there is a Starbucks downstairs, the bar serves great drinks (ask for Nick as your waiter... he is phenominal!), the pools are heated and very nice, the restaurant near the driving range is great (Deborah made the best fresh orange cosmos!), the fireplaces are so cozy, and one of the biggest positives about this hotel is the guest laundry room on the 4th floor! We did a desert polaris tour and got covered in mud. That laundry room was a huge lifesaver! They provide the powder detergent and dryer sheets. Super helpful! Also the location is fantastic. Right across the street from a huge shopping center with restaurants, stores, dave and busters, pubs, little eateries, etc. It was very convenient. Jesslyn and Abby at the front desk went out of their way to make our stay as best as it could be as well. If you have any special requests, ask for one of these ladies. It was a nice stay even with some of the negatives. I would stay here again due to the convenience of being so close to everything. I would like to use the pool when its not so cold too!
