Stop those jumping pool kids

We came for a staycation to get away and the pools were anything but a get away. Someone’s kids kept jumping off upper level pool, over people, into lower pool. Nothing was done. I had to redirect my own kids to safety so they wouldn’t get hurt. Huge disappointment especially since this isn’t our first stay here. Also what’s with the background photos for TripAdvisor? Come on. What’s happened to 4 Diamond service ? Hope Marriott gets more staff and allows them to effort safety rules at the pool. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Where do I began, We have stayed here several times but this was the absolute worst. The pool snack bar or drinks don't open till 11am and on a weekend when the pool is open hours earlier. To the countless people jumping off planters above the pool and jumping over peoples heads and diving constantly! It was like complete anarchy without a single employee to stop the kids doing this!!! Went to the river and it had tons of people without tubes hence many didn't know you NEEDED to bring one since it wasn't established on their website nor email. So you were constantly running into people standing in the water if you were on your inter tube, trash everywhere. No attended for over a hour and kids were at the end of the slide inpededing any slider and even crawling up the slide and could have been a collision so wouldn't allow our child to do it. Our A/C in our room had to be put on 67 degrees because it was so hot and wouldn't cool down. Our remote for TV didn't work. Not a single maid came by for up keep or to refill anything. I had to track one down for a toilet paper roll after staying 3 days with a half roll unacceptable! Starbucks closes at 12pm what a joke. People bringing outside food constantly and leaving it around. NO room service which I believe is safer then a sitting at a restaurant . Breakfast was awful the pancakes tasted like batter and lousy and so was the burnt French toast I got. As far as customer service there wasn't any. I understand that covid changed things but it was complete anarchy at the pool and I was so stressed just watching these kids jump off the planters and the top of the pool and diving over other peoples heads. I told one attendant walking by and he didn't do anything. I was sooo stressed that someone would end up jumping on another persons head that I couldn't relax!!! Marketplace wasn't open in morning couldn't buy a drink and the pool snack bars not open forces you to go and get outside food and drink. My bathroom sink wouldn't drain and I could hear full blown conversations in my bathroom from our neighbors. I found so many plastic lids and cups in the river and I was pulling them out and throwing it away. Not enough umbrellas up and at a 45% capacity there should have been plenty. It felt like Motel 6 not a 4 star hotel. WE were so un happy we checked out a day earlier and paid for a room we didn't stay in. I think the prices should be significantly lower if there's no maid service, no room service, no snack and drink bar till 11am, no valet service, no bag service. Total disappointment. So much trash everywhere.... a lawsuit will occur if you can't keep your patrons safe meaning the lack of employees surveying things or attendants. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Beautiful, kind staff - truly amazing

I write during the early days of the COVID - 19 outbreak. I cannot state how amazed I am at the kindness and calmness in the face of extreme duress, I found the employees at this resort. It's only in dire times like these that you see the true face of your Marriott staff. They were cheerful, ready to help, and displayed no outward sign of distress. That said I can say that we enjoyed our stay tremendously. It's a resort people, so the prices are high but so are the expectations. The food at the Signature Grill was lovely; my poolside Ultimate margaurita was one of the best I have ever had. Service was beyond amazing. Elevators -> fast! I gave this property four stars because there are obvious signs that the furnishings need a spruce up. (Building 4) - some scratches on the furnishings, walls, and elevators. Plastic tequila toast. fake fireplaces and overpriced drinks. My bad

Well we fell for a very sad scene here. We were told about the 5:30 tequila tasting with wonderful story teller on the patio and thought it sounded like fun. It looked so much better in my mind. This was a corporate and cheesy toast with about 100 people sitting around gas flames. The story was about 30 seconds long on a microphone...our bill? $42 for 2 drinks. The lesson? Priceless. Great views, quality service but some charges really are not necessary. Shipped my clubs shipsticks-picked them up-$25.00 service fee. Come on! Went to print out boarding passes-$6.95 to get on computer plus fee to print. Really? Breakfast was great and Terry, our server was one of the best we ever had. Bravo, Terry TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
