Fantastic island of peace and tranquility, still convenient to the hustle and bustle of Venice...

This is a very beautiful property. We initially had some concern about the island location, but as others have mentioned, that turned out to be one of our favorite aspects of this hotel. Venice can be crushingly crowded and busy, and while we enjoyed all the sightseeing and activities, after a few hours of that each day our family was "done" and looking forward to relaxing in the sun with an adult beverage by the infinity-edge pool with a view of the city. The service was excellent overall, and the food was very good, if pricey. We had most of our meals in Venice proper, at various restaurants recommended by the very helpful hotel concierge. The short boat ride to/from the city was a great way to relax and prepare for whatever's next. We also enjoyed a cooking class and meal at the on-site gourmet academy - a really fun way to spend an evening. (*burp* ;-) We would definitely stay here again if we're every fortunate enough to make it back to bella Venezia! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Didn't actually visit - yet, but service was great

We booked a non-refundable rate (I know, never again) because our stay was planned just prior to embarking on a cruise in June. COVID-19 changed all that, and more, but our initial request for a cancellation and refund was refused, citing the rate terms, and despite having been told by the Marriott agent who took the cancellation that we would be refunded. It took a couple more email, but in the end Paola Toniolo, Reservations Manager Venice Area, agreed and saw to it that we would get a refund, which we have received. Many thanks for the help, and we still look forward to visiting in the future. May you and your family stay safe and healthy. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Loved the location, amenities, views, food!

This was exactly what we wanted: A James-Bond style entrance on our own boat into the Boat-House; someone to carry our luggage. Much better, in my opinion, than trying to haul your own luggage through the maze of carless streets in Venice proper. We were a quick 10 minute boat ride from St. Mark's square, and yet when we needed a relaxing afternoon at the pool or a gourmet meal, it was just steps away from our beautiful room. The meals are pricey, granted, since you literally have no food options except at the hotel. But we planned for that, and even enjoyed a Michelin 3 star meal at Dopolovoro. Plan ahead and you'll love it! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

ideal hotel to get away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city!

we loved this hotel due to it being on its own private island, the hotel staff were friendly and the rooms were spacious and clean. the transportation particularly was always on time and the hotel staff were keen to organise taxi services for when the hotel daily transportation services stopped. I would definitely recommend! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Gorgeous, yet marooned

If you like being isolated from your vacation destination, then this is the hotel for you. This hotel and island are beautiful, full stop. But it takes about 20 to 25 minutes via boat to reach the main section of Venice--perhaps that is the charm for some. My friends and I discovered this was not really our scene. Restaurant options are limited. There are only two open for dinner and reservations are recommended for both. There is a cafe, which sells coffee and some snacks, but that is it for food. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would elect to stay in the main section again before choosing this hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
