A wonderful stay!

Aug 20th, 2020

We debated visiting CA due to the restrictions from Covid but Kenwood did their very best! The room was absolutely gorgeous! We stayed five nights and the staff from check-in to mid-day requests went above and beyond and continued to service us with a smile. The afternoon cheese plate and cookies were a great touch and the breakfast was delicious! The toughest part was staying for such a length of time without housekeeping service. We hated bugging the team for a change of towels, TP and any extras but again they were great! The pool was refreshing but on several occasions there were no pool towels and though the chairs had sanitized signs displayed we saw new couples sitting without continued sanitation. The only thing I would recommend would be more pool monitoring during these tough times. We highly recommend for couples and we hope to return from the East Coast sometime soon. Beautiful, secluded property!

Aug 8th, 2020

We recently stayed at KIS and had a phenomenal stay! It was very stressful to plan a cross-country escape during these ever-changing times, but Sebastian, the concierge, made planning a breeze. He provided fantastic recommendations that fit what we were looking for. We appreciated the hotel's flexible cancelation policy and the adjustments they made to insure distance and safety. This is such an ideal property to stay at because there aren't many units and all suites are accessed from the outside. So, you can go from your car to your room's door without touching any other surfaces. The breakfast was delicious and the mini wine and cheese plate was such a thoughtful and delicious touch. We were able to take advantage of a tasting dinner with Chef Sam and wine pairings and really enjoyed it. This property is gorgeous! I was not expecting it to be as large and spread out as it is. KIS is located just off a busy road, but it felt like another world once you are in the interior. I was expecting one or two larger buildings, but rather there are several smaller buildings that house 1 or 2 suites each. We loved using our gas fireplace on the chilly nights. Finally, the Kenwood area was ideal for us. We put a lot of miles on our rental car as we explored Sonoma, Napa, Russian River Valley, and the Armstrong Redwood Reserve. I highly recommend this property, especially during these distanced times! We look forward to returning in the future and being able to take advantage of the spa. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

First time guests

Aug 6th, 2020

We came here to Celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary this week. We arrived early Sunday evening and missed the wine and cheese reception. To our surprise the wine and cheese were waiting for us in our room when arrived. Our room was near the pool area and the guests using the pool were courteous and not loud. Our room was huge compared to other Four Sisters we have stayed in the past. The ambiance is everything you would want. Quiet, bubbling fountains, fire pits in the evening, soft lights and more. My wife and I loved our time there and did not want to come home yesterday. The inn is like a Tuscan village with charm, romance and a dose of panache. We will come back again after our next trip to another Four Sisters Inn in Monterey. Breakfast was very good. Two of the three mornings we were there we had breakfast by a fireplace which added to our enjoyment. Definitely a keeper in my book. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great visit, good location

Jul 14th, 2020

Had a nice visit to enjoy the wine country off season. The hotel is in a great location to explore the area. The grounds are very pretty and the rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast each morning and the food wine pairing dinner was a fun and tasty evening. We had a nice couples massage in their onsite spa. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Unfortunately gone down hill

Jul 12th, 2020

I have stayed at the Kenwood Inn over 10 times starting in the early 2000’s and unfortunately my last two stays haven’t been great. The hotel itself is beautiful. The grounds, the pool are lovely. The issue I have is that they now allow children. In the past, pre ownership change, it was adults only. I have nothing against children, in fact my wife is currently pregnant, but this property is not suitable for children and large groups. This is borderline irresponsible during covid when social distancing is a requirement. Our last stay was somewhat ruined by two family’s and their three kids who took over the entire pool area and basically made sitting by the pool unenjoyable as well as unsafe. It’s sad because this used to be one of my favorite getaways. I still recommend it if you don’t care about social distancing and don’t care about having kids splashing you and making a ton of noise. I will be staying at Auberge or Calistoga Ranch which has an adults only pool. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
