Eric - star of the show!

Jul 15th, 2019

Eric made our experience so special, we arrived after a long day and just wanted to get to a nice, clean room. He was so friendly and congratulated us on our anniversary, he then asked if we had seen the Hollywood sign yet, we said no and he gifted us a beautiful room with a direct view of the sign. The room was stunning, clean, minimalistic, everything we love in a room. We were later surprised with a knock at the door and a bottle of prosecco and some treats, thank you so much Eric, you really are a credit to this hotel and made it special for us. Location is good, to be honest anywhere in LA you will struggle with location as everything is so spread out, but this is walkable to hollywood centre. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice hotel in Hollywood

Jul 5th, 2019

We enjoyed our stay at here. Our room was clean and comfortable as was the bed, wifi was good too. There is free coffee in the morning and a free wine hour in the early evening. We found the location to be very good but maybe a bit sketchy at night. The one thing I would say you should be aware of is that parking is $45 a night plus tips for the valet, which can add up but at least your car is secure. All in all a good stay. Simply the best hotel in LA

Jul 3rd, 2019

I’ve stayed at the Everly countless times since their opening a few years ago. It has now truly become my home away from home in LA. The level of service here is some of the best I’ve encountered (and that includes stays at some of the best hotels in Europe and Asia.) The vibe/gestalt here is definitely “boutique” but it’s large and sophisticated enough to want to stay in and relax. The bar and lounge is spacious and comfortable and the cocktails are amazing. The bartender Hawk is a great guy and makes delicious drinks. JaneQ has great pastries, pizza and espresso drinks! Killer happy hour too. My most recent stay was as good as the others. I’m Inner Circle so I was upgraded to a gorgeous Everly Suite. (One of the best perks of being IC with Kimpton are the automatic suite upgrades!) The beds are dreamy and the bathroom had an awesome soaking tub. If you’re a new visitor to LA, it’s worth requesting a room with a view of the Hollywood Sign. Can’t get more iconic than that! Front desk service is super great. They always remember my name and greet me warmly when I return. Any questions about the area are always answered. They even had phone chargers when I forgot to pack one! The hotel itself it steps away from Hollywood Blvd so it’s great for seeing the sights as a tourist. Conveniently close to the highway for visitors who want to explore LA by car. A few negatives: sometimes the wine social hour service is hit or miss (often hard to get refills). Also, housekeeping is sometimes spotty. I’ve found leftover candy pieces on the carpet on my last visit and another time, some soap streaks in the sink after checking in. No big deal but not ideal. Overall experience at the Everly has still been overwhelmingly positive, so it still gets 5 stars! tl;dr: Top quality service, comfy beds, free wine, great a lot for tourists, amazing status recognition. Huge Disappointment

Jun 27th, 2019

Chose this hotel as we were assisting our Son with his move across the street. We needed to be close by. The Everly was brand new and we thought it was a perfect choice. What a disappointing experience. We arrived very late on a Saturday night from NY. The lobby was jam packed and the music so loud it was difficult to hear the receptionist at check in. There is a restaurant on premises in this open concept layout. The smell of cooking oil is overwhelming. To that point... the lobby, the elevators and our suite on the tenth floor reeked of greasy odors. The carpet throughout the lobby floor was slippery . Our room smelled ... you couldn’t escape from the odors until you walked out of the building. Arriving back in NY ... I had to wipe down our suitcases, wash every article of clothing, wash the toiletry bags, hair brushes and send all the dry cleaning , clothes that were not worn , immediately to the Dry Cleaner at 2am. The move was seamless. Our stay at the Everly was awful. Never Again ! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Overnight Hollywood Visit

Jun 26th, 2019

Got tickets for concert at Hollywood Bowl & decided to make the most of it. Friend had posted pictures of the Everly and I thought why not. Hotel is located conveniently off the 101, very close to Hollywood attractions. Valet parking for $50 per night was great as we stayed most of the next day on tours and didn’t have to move car. The view of Los Angeles was incredible and look forward to trying the other side on next visit. Reception was quick and courteous. The room was clean, modern & comfortable. Loved the shower and amenities. Visited Jane Q for happy hour as well as the Ever Bar. Loved them. Great to see how dog friendly the hotel was. Will definitely return next time attending an event in Hollywood. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
