Truly outstanding!

Jul 12th, 2019

This was one of the most pleasant hotel experiences I have had. Great accommodations, friendly and helpful staff who go out of their way to help and at every interaction great. The food in room and restaurant great with wonderful service. I was here on business and it was an oasis. Impressive! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Eloise at the Plaza

Jul 3rd, 2019

While, unlike Eloise, I was paying for this trip, my treatment by staff and the luxurious accommodations made me feel like a heiress. The valets and desk staff were exceptional, as was the housekeeping staff. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent Hotel Experience

Jul 2nd, 2019

I live outside the city. We decided to spend the weekend in the city and I walk by this hotel all of the time. I decided to stay here. It was a pleasant experience. The room is a nice size for accommodating two people. You receive a special key for the mini bar. They take an extra 220 out of your account for incidentals. Everyone at the hotel was pleasant and helpful. They have a restaurant downstairs, you can make reservations. We had drank one night before a concert, 3 glasses of wine cost $51. You're going to spend a pretty penny on drinks. We spent time at the Biergarten on the 9th floor. Drinks were reasonable and it was a cool experience. Every day from 5-6 they have happy hour. Beer or Wine. I believe it's 1 drink per person. It's still pretty decent. I thought the overall experience was great. I'd recommend this place and come back here again. One recommendation, the valet is $30 per night. You can stay around the corner off of Smithfield street next to the PGH Store. It's $19 per night if you park yourself, if it's Sat-Monday, it's only $19 for the weekend. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very Nice Stay

Jul 2nd, 2019

We enjoyed this hotel. The room was a good size and it was clean. The decor is wonderful -- there are bird cages everywhere. We even had a birdcage lamp in our room. The front desk people were very friendly and helpful. The only thing mediocre was the restaurant. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice hotel, good location, reasonably priced- very odd room decor

Jul 1st, 2019

Overall the hotel is in a good downtown area, and is a nice hotel. The lobby and restaurant area are beautifully done. However, the hallways and rooms look as though your grandmothers attic exploded and dropped off her old furnishings and wallpaper. Clearly it is a new hotel with new furnishings, but I found the decor choices so incredibly odd. I have stayed at many boutique hotels, but this decor gave me a bit of the creeps. The beds were slightly uncomfortable, and our bed had a terrible squeaking to it that made a loud noise every single time there was the slightest bit of movement. Overall it is a nice hotel with great pricing. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
