Excellent stay

Sep 14th, 2019

We stayed at this hotel for a few days after Labour Day. We arrived after a long drive, late, to be greeted by a staff member who offered us a lovely upgrade on our room. We started off happy and stayed thatmway. We were exhausted from our sons wedding and wanted a place to just relax and recoup. Terrific place. The decor is bold and fun, the onsite restaurant is terrific - we didn't eat anyplace else, and didn’t need to. Every staff member was great and we would happily go back.. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

What an incredible hotel!

We came back to this hotel after having had an incredible experience 4 years ago. The staff, specifically Leighton and Becky, were truly incredible. They knew we were celebrating a special event and treated us like royalty. The hotel rooms are great, centrally located, and the service is second to none. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Hotel Monaco is ok

Aug 16th, 2019

I read reviews about this hotel and I am confused. The décor is fine. However, the key system one uses to go on the elevator leaves much to be desired. Our card failed numerous times and we were forced to go up and down floors many times to reach our floor. We even had our keys recharged to no avail. The halls are very dark. Also, when we entered our room, we found that our sink drain was clogged and our clock was broken. We told the hotel staff and they offered nothing to compensate us for our inconvenience. The restaurant is very expensive for the type of food you get. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Beyond impressed!

Aug 13th, 2019

Had a great stay at this hotel on a Saturday night with my husband for a “staycation”. The staff at the front desk was probably the friendliest and most helpful staff I’ve interacted with in a hotel. The building is beautiful from the moment you walk in. Very secure with your room key needed to operate the elevators to floors with hotel rooms. We had a standard room and loved it! Easy to control thermostat, the room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. (I find most hotels to be humid and have loud AC systems). Gorgeous lighting that could all be dimmed. Sleek boutique design that didn’t feel like a hotel. Spotless bathroom with luxury ammenities. There was a wine and beer happy hour free of charge In the living room area which we loved and a nice area to sit and relax. The hotel is pet friendly and you will see them all around and I have severe allergies and had no problems at all! There was a wedding but it could only be heard in the main area. We dined at the restaurant the commoner twice and had a great experience. There is a rooftop bar with an amazing selection of German beers and friendly, helpful staff. We actually never left the hotel because it was so nice and relaxing! I can’t wait to come back ! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Love this hotel, delightful staff

Aug 11th, 2019

My family and I just spent 5 nights at the Monaco, and had a fantastic stay. We had 2 rooms, which were both quiet with perfect A/C, and great bathrooms. The decor throughout the hotel is eclectic and fun -- little things to make you smile throughout (like bird cage light fixtures). Happy hour every night from 5-6 was really lovely, with a very nice selection of drinks. The fitness room has a great selection of equipment as hotels go, and allowed us all to get in our workouts. The location was perfect too -- a quick walk to all the attractions from Market Square to Fort Pitt to PNC Park and Heinz Field. Above all, the staff were incredibly welcoming, especially Andre at the front desk. At every turn, they were helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend this hotel 100%. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
