Wonderful stay!

Apr 11th, 2020

We finished off our trip to New York State with a night at the Kimpton Ink48 and I will admit to preferring it over the Intercontinental Times Square where we stayed a few days prior. The hotel is away from the hustle and bustle of Times Square but has very easy access to the Hudson River Park footpath. It overlooks the Intrepid Sea and Air museum. With a room on a high floor overlooking the river, you can have great views of the displayed aircraft. Check in was very friendly and efficient. We booked a Hudson Suite. Although not cheap it was very spacious with a separate bedroom and living area. The latter had a sofa bed but the two are open plan - there is no divider between them. With floor to ceiling windows the view across the river is panoramic. The suite also had a spacious bathroom with a separate shower and bathtub, and complimentary Atelier Bloem amenities. The hotel also has a great rooftop area with a bar. In the middle of summer this was packed with both residents and visitors. There are great views over the city from the top. Another highlight is the hotel’s restaurant, PRINT. The food was exceptional and service friendly and attentive. The staff were also very knowledgeable. Although not the most central hotel on Manhattan, I loved the location. It was a lot calmer than areas around Times Square and I loved the access to the Hudson River Park footpath which you can follow pretty much all the way down to Battery Park; a walk I thoroughly enjoyed! I would highly recommend the Kimpton Ink48 and will gladly return. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Long weekend in New York_January 2020

Mar 4th, 2020

We recently visited New York in January 2020 for a 5 night stay and what an amazing trip it was. We considered lots of hotels before booking the Ink48 in Hell's Kitchen area of Manhattan. The hotel was in a great location if you want to be just on the outskirts on the hustle and bustle of Times Square, which is only a 20 minute walk away. The hotel is modern, clean and tidy. The staff are great and the general manager was extremely helpful and accommodating with our anniversay weekend, providing a few treats in the room and allowing us a late check out. We highly recommend the Ink48 hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very nice hotel

Clean and spacious rooms for a reasonable price. Great location. Very nice and helpful staff. We left something in the room and they responded immediately to my inquiry and sent me the item right away. Cool bar on top of the hotel with gorgeous views on Manhattan. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Room huge, sleek, and new & a bargain too!

Mar 1st, 2020

We were astounded by the size and quality of our massive and sleek, modern room — which featured sky-high ceilings and a sweeping city view — given the modest price we paid. The room was huge and decorated mostly in black and white with a cool, artsy vibe. Everything, from the furniture to the bedding, seemed pristine and new. The king-size bed was ultra-comfy too. PLUS we were allowed to bring along our dog, free of charge! The Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood was surprisingly lively late on a Sat. night. We will definitely stay here again... and again. Hudson Suites are still very nice, but beware construction

Feb 23rd, 2020

I've stayed a few times in a Hudson Suite at Ink48, albeit not since winter 2017. Was excited to return in January 2020. The Hudson Suites are as lovely as ever, with floor to ceiling windows and views of the Hudson, capacious closet space (a seeming rarity in New York, even with suites), a huge bathroom and an attractive layout. However, if you are sensitive to noise, you might want to check on the status of construction as during my visit there was excavation going on between the hotel and the river, including on Saturdays. The drilling jolted me awake at 7:00 a.m. each morning (particularly awful the first morning when I had arrived well after 2:00 a.m.) and the drilling started at 8:00 a.m. on Saturdays. Sunday was mercifully an off day for construction. Other than the construction, the stay was fine. The hotel charges the same ridiculous "resort fee" that every other hotel in New York now charges, but at least at Ink48 I got something useful for the fee -- a $10 daily credit for room service or the hotel restaurant (albeit not for the mini-bar). However, I just checked the hotel's website and I do not see anything about the food credit, so maybe they took that away, which would be a shame, because it does make you feel less resentful about the resort fee. I do quite like staying in Hell's Kitchen, especially now that Hudson Yards is open, which is a few blocks south of the hotel. I wasn't that impressed with Sullivan Street Bakery, which is down the street from the hotel, but some people like it. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
