Best Hotel in Milwaukee

Jul 7th, 2020

Recently stayed the weekend at the Kimpton Journeyman Hotel. From top to bottom, this is a beautiful, trendy, and clean hotel in one of the best locations to visit in the city. The hotel also took all the right steps to make sure to make sure that things were extra safe and sanitary due to COVID. The room was extremely comfortable and well-maintained. The staff was also exceptional, professional, and very courteous. They did everything they could to make sure we had an excellent stay. Dinner at Tre Rivali, the hotel restaurant, was also a delight. It wasn't cheap, but it was well worth it. You get what you pay for. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend the Kimpton Journeyman. I look forward to another oportunity to stay again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Thank you Allyson

May 1st, 2020

My husband and I were given a gift certificate overnight for the Kimpton from our daughter and son-in-law, and we very much enjoyed ourselves from the courteous staff and accomodations to the delicious meals that we had. Allyson made our arrangements for us. We definitely would visit again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Exquisite, delightful, human. Incomplete, overpriced

Gorgeous décor. The free coffee in the morning was a must. The two restaurants in the building were very convenient and everything they made was both beautiful and amazingly delicious. Room was also well-decorated and modern, though sometimes to a fault (like the unusable mirror). The staff was all very helpful and friendly. Really charming; I felt very welcome at every turn. I really wish I had a coffee maker in my room, and a fridge for leftovers etc.. There was a minifridge, but it was stocked as a minibar, so I couldn't really use it. The shower was okay, leaning toward disappointing. Loved the abundance of bathroom supplies, though the bar soap they chose was that standard cheap hotel soap that leaves me feeling sticky. There's no convenience shop/shelf/thing, so best remember all your supplies and meds. I forgot my Tums the first time I stayed here, and just had to suffer through acid reflux until I got to the airport. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, but not exceptionally so. I'm just glad my company was paying for it because ~$1,000 for a couple meals and 4 nights in a rather average room is way more than I'd spend for myself. Downstairs, the breakfast was delicious, with large portions at an okay price. If you order food andor drinks upstairs it's all small portions, likewise downstairs for dinner. Four dollars for an 8oz Coca-Cola like jeez... TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great hotel in a vibrant location

Feb 26th, 2020

I had to make a quite trip to Milwaukee on business and as someone that enjoys the Kimpton hotel product I wanted to give the Journeyman a try. Glad I did. Everything about it was fantastic. The internet worked well too. The hotel is in easy walking distance of shopping and restaurants in the third ward and honestly a quite uber/lyft ride to downtown Milwaukee (think it was only $8-$10). I did not try out the rooftop bar which from what I understand was a huge miss on my part. As everyone that I chatted with about the hotel said that was one of their favorite parts. Maybe next time. Spent a weekend with my wife and loved both the property, the staff, food, and location. Easy access to walk to restaurants and sights. Lover their courtesy happy hour every afternoon. We will be back. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
