Nice to be back

This was our fourth stay at the Marlowe but hadn’t been in years. We had hoped to travel to see grandchildren but Covid limited our options so decided a trip to Boston area would work. We were pleasantly surprised with renovations. We had a deluxe king on 7 floor. Very comfortable and stylish. The bed was extremely comfortable and the towels were luxuriously soft. We felt the safety precautions in place were great and we felt safe while there. Sanitizer everywhere. Easy access to a nice walk along the Charles River. Vallet at the front desk was very helpful and cheerful. Enjoyed the free wine bar both nights. Easy garage parking as the valet service is suspended for now. Would definitely return and look forward to all the finishing touches TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Stylish, pet friendly hotel. Easy Boston access. Pleasant staff.

Hotel- Kimpton Marlowe (Cambridge, MA) Date- 25july – 27july 2020 (2 nights) Overall: Excellent. I really enjoyed my first stay at this property. The property is undergoing renovations, and the top two floors, which are complete, look great! I am eager to see how the lobby turns out. I’ll be back! Accommodations- Excellent. The room was very nice, and the bed was fluffy and comfortable. A smart tv, a mini fridge, a desk and chair, and nightstands rounded out the room in a stylish motif. The bathroom was a reasonable size, but counter space was limited. IHG Rewards Club Recognition- Excellent. We were offered welcome amenity points or the Raid-the-Bar credit, which could be used towards the items they kept at the front desk. (The minibars in the room have been emptied during the pandemic.) Staff- Excellent. Rachel at the front desk made a great first impression, and it was noteworthy. Welcoming, polite, and engaging, she impressed us. I couldn’t have been happier when she let me know that she had ensured the extra pillows we requested were provided, and in preparation for our pet’s arrival, a pet bed and food dishes were waiting for us in our room. Kudos to her! What an asset to the company! Housekeeping- Excellent. The room was immaculate. Toiletries and towels were provided in a supply adequate for our length of stay. I would be hard pressed to find anything to improve upon. Pool/Gym- Not evaluated Breakfast/Meal Options- Excellent. Given the pandemic, we didn’t expect much to be available. We were wrong. The restaurant is open and pick up service is available. We tried the margarita pizza and the fusilli; both were excellent. Wine hour has been modified, and although congregating isn’t on the menu, wine from the front desk is. Coffee machines were available for in the room. Laundry- Not evaluated Computer/Printer/WiFi- WiFi was strong throughout the hotel, and streaming was smooth. Property Appearance- Excellent. I was surprised to learn the property was undergoing renovations; it looks so well cared for. Exterior- The entrance courtyard was clean and attractive, and the sculptures caught our attention. The lobby was stylish and well maintained. Interior- The hallways and carpet were clean and flawless. I could not find a single scuff on the walls either. Other- Valet parking is suspended, but the self-parking garage for the hotel and the neighboring mall next door was available for $30 daily. An elevator brings you from the garage right into the hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Recent Renovation, soft tones, cheery staff

Super comfortable stay, just re opened with soft grey tones, still has the same happy floral citrus scent, new lighting, gorgeous bathrooms and furniture. Staff is as always chipper. Appreciated the easy access umbrellas, miss the mini bar treats but you can pick up your goodies at the front desk. It was nice to venture out after months of isolation, this is the place to go, easy walking access to the sights of Boston. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great stay even with restrictions

This is a gem in Cambridge. Super Clean, comfortable luxury with a great team. From Brendan at the bell stand to Sean at the front desk these are just 2 of the many great staff members that made our stay memorable. We’ll be back and look forward to staying there again! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Solid Option

This is a very decent hotel in Cambridge very close to Boston. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. What I like best is you can bring your dog and no fees no questions which is worth a lot. There is an attached restaurant that I also found to have better than average food. While pouches are free the parking is not. T stop (subway) is about a 10 minute walk away. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
