Quick Get Away.

Jul 21st, 2019

Perfect for a quick get away. close to every thing we wanted to see for the Fourth of July. The Parade passes right in front of the Hotel. The Hotel served its purpose. Nice, clean, and location. Very Comfortable. Free Breakfast was a plus. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Disappointing breakfast service - especially for business travelers

Jul 19th, 2019

Let me start with the positives. The Kimpton Nine Zero is a two minute walk from the Park Street metro stop, which makes it convenient for tourists. The rooms are also fine (not great, but perfectly adequate). The first morning that I was there, I found out that continental breakfast (the choices are limited but, again, adequate) is free for guests. The choice includes croissants and boiled eggs. I asked for a box to take breakfast with me (like most business travelers, my time in the morning is limited); was given a smallish box (fits a croissant, a pastry and two boiled eggs) - which was perfect for me. I went off happily to work. The next day, I came down and asked for a box. Discovered they had run out of eggs. Strange. But I got my pastry and croissant and left. The next day, they ran out of eggs *and* boxes. Which was strange. That evening I went to the front desk and told the manager about the issue. She said she would talk to the manager of the restaurant and take care of it. Well, the next morning, the manager at the restaurant said they were not giving boxes out because some folks abused it and took multiple boxes to their rooms. With the number of tourists with kids I saw in the breakfast room, perhaps that isn't surprising. But I can't for the life of me understand why they wouldn't find a different solution than one that seriously inconveniences business travelers. FWIW, this was my first time at the Kimpton. And after the first day there I was satisfied enough that I thought this could be one of my fall back places if my regular hotel is not available or too expensive. So I signed up for IHG rewards and even got my number entered on my reservation. But the inability to have a togo breakfast box sort of kills it for me. If not for that inconvenience, I would have given this place a three star rating. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Incredible Stay!

Jul 16th, 2019

I just got back from a weekend stay here, and I already can’t wait to visit again, it’s the best hotel in Boston! From the moment we stepped out of the car, the staff was beyond helpful. The valet staff greeted us immediately, offering to take our bags for us even though they were small and easy for us to carry, and got the doors for us into the lobby. The person who checked us in was super kind and helpful, explaining all of the accommodations that the hotel provides (complimentary breakfast, complimentary wine hour, WiFi, etc.), and did so in a way that was super genuine, not robotic and rehearsed-sounding like it normally is at most hotels. They even take down your phone number for the concierge so that if at any point you need anything, it’s just a text message away, and he made sure that any of our questions were answered before we left the desk. The breakfast was delicious and had plenty of options (pastries, cheese and meats, cereal, yogurt, juices, fruit, coffee), but if for some reason that isn’t enough they also offered a menu to order from. The location is PERFECT, right across the street from Boston Commons, and only a 10-15 minute walk to the water front, and Quincy Market. This location also made for some beautiful views with the city all lit up at night. Between the friendly staff who always smiled and said hello, the beautifully upkept rooms (with the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in), and the accommodations included in the stay, I would 100% recommend the Nine Zero to anyone looking for a place to stay in Boston, and I can’t wait for my next visit there! Excellent, Central and Friendly staff

Jul 15th, 2019

Hi, I’ve recently stayed at The Kimpton Nine Zero on a business trip. The hotel is fresh, clean, centrally located, big rooms, friendly staff . I’ll be back next time I visit Boston for either business or leisure. Keep up the good work. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Stayed here for weekend getaway from New York. If you’re accustomed to Intercontinental you’ll be very disappointed by this hotel. Trendy hostel is what I’d call it but for $450 per night! Unless you’re on the top 4 floors the windows are very small with ugly aluminum frames. Furniture is nice and bathrooms are okay but small with low ceilings. The included breakfast is nice but very basic with no hot options not even toast! Apart from 2 receptionists there don’t seem to be any doorman or porters. I’ll never stay at a Kimpton again!
