Nice Beachfront Property in a Charming Town

Jul 8th, 2020

The resort gave me exactly what I was looking for-- beachfront views, serene environment, and southern charm. Good spot for couples' alone time. The hotel website matches the in-person look and experience. That’s rare. Staff was great. They’re accommodating and attentive. I felt special during our stay. Those feelings stay with you, forever. Bartender Tori was great. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very Disappointing

Jul 4th, 2020

I have visited the Kimpton Vero Beach on several occasions and have been a fan until now. I’ve bragged about this place to many friends and suggested it to North Floridians many times as a great, quick getaway destination. However, I just returned from 4 nights with my family and it was very disappointing. I had a 2 room oceanfront suite plus a king “ocean front” suite for my mother. Other than the valets, I nothing positive to say about this experience. To start with, they text me just a few days before to tell me the pool would be closed on our first day due to annual maintenance. The pool was closed two of our four days there. If I didn’t already have non refundable deposits for fishing charters booked, I would have canceled my reservations. Why they would wait until the week of July 4th to do their annual pool maintenance is beyond me. The remedy? They waived one night of resort fees. $35. Super Duper! But that wasn’t the only issue. My last visit was 2.5 years ago. It was immaculate. The condition of the entire property from the rooms to the public spaces has deteriorated significantly in this short amount of time. The furniture in the rooms was dirty, dog hair all over the couches, stains on the walls, balcony doors almost impossible to slide open, filthy windows— I could go on and on. The place has been clearly neglected. The staff, again sans valets, were completely uninterested in the guest experience. One time, we called Adam at the front desk three times in one hour for fresh towels. Finally because we were going to miss our dinner reservation, my son went down to get them ourselves. Even at checkout, two people were working and neither bothered to ask me how my stay was or thank me for staying there. This was the last straw so I let them know very clearly how disappointing it was and how disheartening it was to not even be asked or thanked after spending $3,000 for this bad joke of an experience. I’m giving 2 stars. One for the valets and one for the ladies in the spa who managed to help my wife and mother gain some relaxation. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent service

Jun 30th, 2020

My wife and I stayed here to celebrate our anniversary (and first night away from our new baby) on 6/29/2020. We had called a few weeks in advance to find a date that would allow us to reserve an ocean-view room, which we were told would be available for us on the date chosen. Upon arriving, however, an ocean-view room was not available. After expressing our frustration, the staff was phenomenal. We not only got an upgrade from a standard room to a suite with a kitchen (which also had a partial ocean-view on the North side), but the Kimpton staff also provided us a $75 credit to use on amenities at the resort. Not to mention the staff even left us a bottle of champagne on ice to celebrate our anniversary. A special shout-out and thank you to Evan and Adam for working with us and making the stay so enjoyable. The resort itself is beautiful and in a great location. We walked to Mulligans for dinner and breakfast, and we rented kayaks to snorkel around the Boiler Wreck that is just off the coast (Dante was so nice and helpful!). Would definitely recommend this resort to others - thank you for the terrific stay! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Lovely Getaway to the Beach

Jun 29th, 2020

This was our first visit to this Hotel and let me tell you this will not be the last. The property is well maintained and is an absolute Gem. You will feel pampered from the moment you arrive. The staff are all wearing masks and seem to be very service oriented. Our room overlooked the Ocean so make sure you book and pay for this room type as you will not be disappointed. Everything you need is on property and there are very nice shoppes just up the street if shopping is your fancy. We enjoyed a very nice dinner Al Fresco at Cobalt their in-house restaurant and yes there was social distancing taking place with sounds of the ocean providing a very nice backdrop. A shout out to Front Desk staff Marissa, Adam, Brianna and Evan all who I encountered were professional and eager to please. I noticed the GM and Director of F&B working hard leading the team during these unprecedented times. Coming from a Hospitality background I notice things that most guests do not and I was very pleased with my stay and the way in which we were taken care of. We definitely will return and hope my review provides you with some insight on this very nice facility. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
