Great oceanfront Brighton condo

I've been meaning to review this property as we've stayed here many times. Anytime we've visited Myrtle Beach on the last 5 years, we've always stayed Kingston Plantation in the Brighton building. This year alone, we've been there on 3 separate occasions. Once you enter Kingston Plantation you feel like you're in a different world. The grounds are very well maintained and the condos are nice and spacious. Of course, because they're individually owned, the decor and updates are different. Our last visit was the week of 12/18/2020. Due to the COVID pandemic, they didn't provide room service, which we were ok with. We asked for towel service only and they brought us towels. The indoor pool, gym was open and we enjoyed that. We'll definitely return in the Spring! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Awful experience w no resolution yet...

We visited this property for Thanksgiving. We were “upsold” an upgrade into the Margate tower which has large rooms that have been recently renovated. That along with free items from Starbucks was the highlight of the stay. When we arrived, clothes and a liquor bottle were found in one of the guest rooms. After comparing notes, we realized that all of us had discovered unclear areas in one of the rooms of the suite. In short, the room was not cleaned well after the last stay. We could have lived with this, I suppose, but the kicker that caused me to write this review was the lack of customer service by house keeping after we left. My wife realized about 2 hours away from the hotel that she has left some undergarments in one of the dresser drawers. I called the hotel immediately and was told we had to complete an online form by housekeeping. It’s now been 3 weeks and those items haven’t been located which is basically impossible if the room was cleaned after we left (a big “if” given the shape of the room when we checked in. Prior to this stay, this was our favorite property at the bench. Alas, it is no longer. Caveat emptor everyone. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great Oceanfront Condo

We stayed at an oceanfront room at the Brighton condominiums which we reserved through Hilton . The room was nicely furnished and updated with hardwood floors and was spacious. We had a lot of room for the two of us. The king bed was comfortable and the walk-in closet held all of our clothes and more. The direct view of the ocean, sunrises and sunsets was awesome. Housekeeping services are at a minimum during the pandemic. We were shorted wash cloths and hand towels. I waited on hold for the front desk for 10 minutes to have them sent to the room but I finally gave up and walked over to the hotel. We bought toilet paper, paper towels and coffee as the supply in the condo was low. The Embassy Suites Hotel is shut down so no restaurants were open. However, the coffee shop in the main lobby had coffee and pastries which were fine. All-in-all it was a great relaxing week at the beach in spite of the pandemic. We felt safe and both staff and guests wore masks and respected your space. We will definitely stay at this condo again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Made reservations

Today I made reservations for me and my family at the Kingston Plantation Condos and Villas. I was so impressed with Candace F. At reservations. First of all she had the most pleasant voice. She was so accommodating. She took time with me and ultimately helped me so much that I called back and booked. She even made sure I had no questions. She gave me information about other anmenties in the area surrounding the condos and villa. She was knowledgeable and really made me excited about coming to Myrtle Beach. I appreciated her. Now.... When I called back to actually make the reservations I got her again. She even reviewed my reservation, asked me if I wanted a confirmation and then offered to email it to me. Thank you Candace F. Depressingly Dated

The grounds are beautiful. Peaceful. Excellent areas for a stroll. South Hampton condos are drab, dreary, smelly and filthy. Floors, not swept or mopped. I swept up chips and crumbs from beneath the sofa. All surfaces were sticky and dusty. In terrible need of updating in paint colors from dull, steel gray hallways with dim lighting.
