A good value motel in Tahoe!

Nov 24th, 2015

We spent three nights in a room with a balcony. The room was a bit outdated but clean. The cleaner came in everyday and cleaned. The wifi worked well the whole stay. The room had it's own furnace which kept us nice and warm during our stay. Breakfast was only available until 9 AM and was just toast, juice, cereal and oatmeal. The outdoor pool was closed when we stayed but there is an outdoor hot tub which is open year round. The one negative about our room was that it only had a shower and didn't have a bath tub. We didn't The motel is in a good location just a few minutes from Heavenly mountain. There are lots of dining options just a few minutes drive in either direction. There is a good lunch buffet at Round table from 11am to 2 PM for $7.99. Kmart and Taco Bell are also in this shopping center. Emerald Bay is 15 minute drive and is worth a visit. It takes about two or three hours to drive around the lake and there are plenty of scenic stops along the way. Some of the other villages around the lake have restaurants ,gas stations ans supermarkets There are lots of hikes and bike trails if you visit in the right season. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Pleasantly surprised!

Oct 19th, 2014

After reading the reviews pleasantly surprised with our first floor room complete with gas open fireplace! Yes, the buildings need sprucing up externally. but has only recently changed hands. Breakfast consists of cereals, waffles and bread to toast, plus various pastries. Pool was closed but spa was open. Very close to lake and all amenities. Short walk to supermarket. Just DON'T!!!

Spent 2 nights at this hotel. It was nothing but a dump! We booked this hotel because it was cheap. Speaked for itself when we got in. The washroom was so small, tiles were chipped, and the smell... OMGosh! The carpet was full of stains, and the bed seemed a hundred years old! ...Never Again!!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Avoid at all costs

I stayed at this hotel for one night, and I'm sure it will be the only time. The Knights inn is located just off Lake Tahoe Boulevard, and at $39/ night we found it a great deal. But once we got inside, it wasn't even worth 19. The Hotel is old, badly maintained, and the shower floor looked like it had molds growing in it. I love to take a shower after and before a long drive, and I hate washing without a shower, but it's the first time in like ten years I didn't use the shower and washed like that. Lady at check-in was okay, but she looked like she had been drinking. The beds were okay to sleep in, and the room had me and my mom laughing all night. It was so bad it was funny. Lady at check-out was totally adorable. She was very friendly and competent, she was new there. And she has a sweet dog. When you're in Lake Tahoe, you can get much better than this If you're looking for a place to eat in South Lake Tahoe, go to Tep's Villa Roma Dinner House. I love Italian food, but I never ate it like at Tep's. The best dinner I've ever had. And to top it off, they offer great and friendly service TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good Location. Just that.

The location is nice, just across the casinos. No other service available. Although the receptionist was kind. The room is crumpy but at a cheap price, nothing to complain for. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
