Decent for the price

The room was spacious and had appliances. The bed was very comfortable and everything worked fine. Only negative was the bathroom area needed a deep cleaning especially the tile. Nice area with restaurants within walking distance. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice place that won't bust your wallet

I always stay here any time I am in the Dayton area. It's a budget hotel so don't have lofty expectations. The rooms are clean inside and you get a king bed, although the mattress is kinda thin. There is a mini-fridge and microwave in every room. Bathrooms are clean and showers are hot. The cable TV selection is nice. The WiFi is only about 3 MBps but at least it's reliable day or night. There is an ice machine behind the lobby. The front desk is polite but not super friendly. You are able to park right in front of your room which makes loading and unloading very easy. The hotel is located right by I-75 and I-675 so you can get to north Dayton or south towards Cincinnati really quick. If you pay the weekly rate upfront, you will save about a $100 over paying the nightly rate. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I've stayed at the Rodeway when it was Knights Inn multiple times over the years. It was never extravagant, but it wasn't expected to be... However, since becoming Rodeway Inn, my recent stay was a nightmare. My room was filthy. Trash behind the nightstands, and a filmy substance in the shower. The picture hanging on the wall was broken and the huge broken glass piece was just laying in the TV stand. Not to mention, the maid service is an occasional occurrence and not a daily routine, as every other hotel/motel is and every hotel/motel should be. When I sat in the loveseat I was bitten by something several times. I looked for the culprit but couldn't locate it. It was definitely bug bites, but the species of bug remains unknown. So, as if this wasn't all bad enough, when alerting the front desk staff, I was yelled at! I was basically told that I was lying and treated as if I hadn't been giving them my hard earned money to stay in a place that's NOT WORTH IT! Needless to say, I didn't stay another day and went to a nearby hotel with more class and for less money. ***DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON A PLACE LIKE THE ROADWAY INN! NASTY AND DISRESPECTFUL, UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF!!*** TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Holes in the wall. Clothes left by other guest …..shows how much it is cleaned. Gives Rodeway a bad name. We will never stop at a Rodeway again !!!! The room was dingy and had not been painted in a long time. We paid $70.00, not worth $30.00. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Never Again!

Gpt to hotel late after long drive with a late start and reservations booked online well in advance for a room with refrigerator and pet friendly. After hours entry to get room key and told very next day that the room we are in is not pet friendly. Also threatened that I may be fined 250 dollars for not informing them that I had pet. I found reservation that plainly said that I requested a pet friendly room back months ago. She still said we have to move rooms. I told her that we have something to go to so she said we will have to move rooms then afterwards. So when we returned the room card would no longer work so we had to go to the office to get the other room key an move everything to another room about 8 doors down. This other room had less hangers, no towel rack, and less towels and the toilet was not even bolted down properly. What an awful experience after waiting all year to take an extended weekend away from work and to enjoy ourselves, NOT! Worst experience and worst customer service ever! Our fault that the desk clerk placed us in the wrong room when we checked in...and then made us pay for each pet after making us move everything to another room....this was the motels error not ours!
