Nice hotel room and decoration

May 18th, 2019

I stayed for 2 nights for leisure. I arrived at 9pm and I took a taxi from Kyoto station to hotel. It costs about ¥2000 and about 15mins ride. There is a hotel shuttle bus to one of metro station and you can look up from hotel website. The hotel decoration is good. Modern and a bit classic Japan style. I checked in a room at 6/F. It’s the highest and the view is ok. The room size is reasonable and good enough for 2. It’s comfy and clean. The bathroom is good with shower and bathtub. I guess that there’s no dirty hotel in Japan. For those sport lover, there is no gym room in the hotel but you can run around Kyoto. The breakfast is not good but just ok only. Not much variety of food is available in the buffet restaurant. You can also choose Japanese style breakfast in another restaurant. Overall, the hotel room and decor are good but not the location and food. So I just give 4 point out of 5. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Relaxing stay

May 11th, 2019

The staff was expectional with meeting our needs. We had only a short stay here but our room was large and up-to-date. The grand entrance of this hotel is impressive. I would certainly stay here again when visiting Kyoto. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice place to stay few days

May 6th, 2019

We stayed at the Brighton 3 nights . We were well served in room , at the breakfast and in the restaurant. Room was very nice . The bathroom with bathtub and separate shower . Very comfortable. Free Internet in the room and the common areas. Breakfast is rich , Japanese and intercontinental! The staff very helpful and respectful.... the way it is in whole Japan . The location of the hotel is not near any transportation. You need a taxi to go around , which you will have additional-cost. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great hotel

May 1st, 2019

This hotel is located in a quite neighborhood, it offers a shuttle, to take you to downtown each 20' . If not you need to use a taxi. The staff is excellent, the rooms clean and large, the price affordable for a 5 stars hotel, ~ $ 175 without breakfast. Schuichi Yamamoto, in charge of the guest service section does a very good job. Remember that for ~ $ 18 a piece you can sent in Japan your luggage from one hotel to the other. If you gave them your luggage before 5 p.m. you will, get it at your new hotel at ~ 12 p.m. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Welcoming and peaceful

Apr 29th, 2019

Understated luxury with a Japanese twist. We had a premium room which has separate, small bed and living areas. It seemed newly and nicely decorated and was very clean. The hotel provides a range of teas including a bowl for matcha tea. It was a pleasure to be here. The major downside is that all the restaurants offer expensive set menus - no casual dining options - and it's about 10-15 minutes walk to find alternatives. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
