Heaven in Zihua

Feb 16th, 2020

My husband and I just spent a week of pure joy at La Casa Que Canta. I’m actually having a hard time finding the correct words to use to describe our stay. From the first moment of walking through their doors you are made to feel like you are not only a special guest but like a member of the family. The service from everyone is excellent. The servers are always making sure you have water filled glasses near you at all times while at the pool area. But they aren’t hovering over you. They just know when to be there and when not. The restaurant is excellent as well so we only ventured out twice for dinner or lunch. As a hotel guest you can have breakfast and lunch and this is not open to the public so there’s no waiting. Dinner one should have reservations. We celebrated my husbands birthday and it was wonderful. From the flower decorated bed to the special birthday plate served during breakfast. Every room has an ocean front patio view. Some rooms have plunge pools too. But the two pools at the hotel are perfect. One fresh water infinity and the second an ocean fed delight. If you want a beach day, a short hike to Playa La Ropa is there. Find a beach chair at a restaurant and spend the day as long as you buy food or beers! I want everyone to know this is a special hideaway of pure bliss. Even though I would prefer to keep it a secret so we know we can stay again. Mucho Gracias, La Casa Que Canta TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Unbelievably Awesome!

Feb 12th, 2020

A group of friends went and had supper here one evening. Saw one of the best sunsets in Zihuatanejo. The restaurant was nestled in the side of a hill close to the waters edge. The service was outstanding and so was the food. The waitperson brought a platter of fresh fish and explained what type, how it was prepared and options, if anyone wanted fresh fish. I had grouper and it was fantastic! There’s a variety of other foods available on the menu. I’d highly recommend this place! It’s top of the line! Yes, it’s spendy but well worth it. Great place for romantic meal too. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Casa que canta - great stay, minor inconsistencies

Feb 4th, 2020

Hello, this is a great location, great hotel, and great amenities in Zihua. The staff are attentative, but lack consistency at times when serving in the restaurant or cleaning the lounging areas (towels). This is out second stay and we would stay again mainly given the beautiful grounds, location and serenity provided. Certain staff, including Laura, concierge stand out, given then attention to detail and desire to improve the clients experience. The lack of management decisions on simple matters such as extending an upgrade on arrival despite the hotel having available upgrade suites, and then a future visit where the SLH benefits were not extended without SLH confirming was micro managing for a brand of hotel such as this was disappointing. But a make up lunch, and future breakfast upgrades were welcome despite these difficulties. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

What a great romantic spot to stay

Jan 29th, 2020

We spent 9 nights here and it was like you left the rest of the world behind. Such a beautiful setting on the cliff of the bay. Every room and every spot for sun baking had a great view of the bay. The resort is so well kept and the attention to detail in the decor etc is great. The infinity pool is amazing and so relaxing and refreshing. The staff we so friendly and helpful it was definitely a stay to remember. It’s not cheap but with no kids it lives up to its position as a small luxury hotel of the world is well deserved. Even the gym had amazing views and better equipment than we expected. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I will only be echoing many of the previous reviews that so aptly described all the outstanding qualities of this lovely boutique hotel. I enjoyed a rare respite from my demanding everyday life at this immaculately tended hotel. Along with my two teenage sons, we enjoyed everything this place offers - close walk to town and beach alike, wonderful grounds, delicious meals and a truly outstanding staff who were friendly and highly responsive to all our needs! Hugo, Laura, Semeye, Alan and everyone else who works at La Casa deserve the highest praise for having been so gracious to us and all the other guests who are lucky enough to enjoy this quite magical hotel! My deepest gratitude to them for helping to make it such a positive and restful respite from 'real' life! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
