Right where you want to be in this lovely place

Jul 30th, 2018

Quirky and in need of tender loving care. Nevertheless a great location and rooms are a good size, functional and clean. Nice restaurant, good breakfast. Missed opportunities in the communal areas which are charming. Poor quality furniture, poor wi-fi service and odd absence of a bar/lounge for a hotel with so many rooms. The pool, like much of the rest of the hotel needs refurbishing. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good location

Stylish central atrium, a bit like a riad style. Large room, with two double beds, quite a dark room, overlooking the central atrium. Free wifi. Shower pretty much a trickle. Fairly quiet. There is a small restaurant area for breakfast which has the usual mexican breakfast menu, perfectly adequate. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

spacious rooms, a small swimming-pool in a beautiful inner garden; clean rooms ventilated through the bath-room window, main windows looking to a corridor; good breakfast, normal restaurant; helpful staff; situated on a main street. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Local hotel, close to city square

Nov 27th, 2014

Two and a half short blocks from Cathedral, main square ("parque"), central kiosk, tourist corridor.. A "normal" small-town hotel. Spacious rooms, king-size bed, plenty of electrical contacts, lights, and places to lay out suitcases. Rooms on ground floor and around the central atrium may be a little noisy if there are tour groups. Didn't get to use the pool (surprising in a downtown area), bar or restaurant. Parking. On a main street leading out of town. Not inexpensive compared to the many cozy little inns on almost every block. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Lied about rating, terrible shower, swimming pool had things growing in it, sulky staff and noisy!!!

Dreadful experience. On bookings they say they are a 5 star hotel with pool and poolside bar etc. When you arrive they are only 4 star. We were checking in when a big tour group arrived so the reception tried to push me aside. I had to force them to finish checking me in. Our room was dusty, not good with a baby! The shower produced a dribble of water and the water temperature didn't stay constant. There was no hair dryer as promised. Our room was opposite the lift so at 6am we had the tour groups leaving with bags, chatting loudly and so woke our baby and us. The rooms are all arranged round a central atrium so the sound from all floors and the reception is funnelled throughout the hotel. We went to swim in the pool to discover clouds of green slime growing in the pool and filth on top of the water. We were meant to stay 3 nights. We complained and were refunded for two nights so we could stay at a lovely boutique hotel nearby, el Paraiso, no compensation or apology was given for our complaints. Avoid if you can!
