Main Restaurant (yikes, forgot the name, but it's right inside the front of the hotel)

Apr 15th, 2019

Eight of us descended on the restaurant and were lucky to snare the large round table at the back (no reservations allowed). I had the Cashew Cake - that item was small, yet very tasty and the plate came also with a cauliflower "steak," lovely polenta, a red sauce to die for and so flavorful with the rest, spinach, and mushroom risotto. Others had the specialty of the day - roast beef au jus, hers was with sweet potato fries and so much, she sent the rest home in a box with me as supper for my drive back to Denver. Vegetarian fajitas, chicken taquitos, every dish was SUPERB! We left stuffed and happy, making our way down a row of shops, ending up in the famous "Five and Dime" where I found fun and lovely souvenirs all my family at reasonable prices. Plus a turquoise pinkie ring for me from the outside silversmith. All in all, given the women's retreat up the mountain in a Hilton Properties HUGE home and the overnight snow that then melted off, we were soaked in Beauty! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

In the middle of overpriced phony crap

Apr 13th, 2019

Room was small and so-so. Very tourist-y. Then again downtown Santa Fe is nothing but fake. Food was same old crap you get at every other tourist destination and same inflated prices as well. I like seeing the real. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

La Fonda on the Plaza

Apr 11th, 2019

We stayed here in May of 2018. It is a large hotel. Each room is decorated slightly differently but each room is lovely. The hotel rooms are quiet. The hotel has a wonderful restaurant. I had trout for breakfast. There are many lovely shops inside the hotel. It is across the street from a market. There hotel has a bar which has a band in the evening. There is a small dance floor. The hotel has a lovely pool as well. We enjoyed an afternoon swim which was a wonderful way to cool off. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Amazing artwork and attention to detail

Apr 10th, 2019

We had reserved a suite but at check-in we were informed we had received an upgrade to a terrace room. What a treat! Huge room, hand painted tiles in the shower, artwork everywhere, comfortable bed. Nothing but perfection. Take the hotel tour to fully appreciate the architecture and attention to detail. All staff members were very welcoming and attentive. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great place to stay

Apr 8th, 2019

This place is located in the perfect spot. Anything you need or want is within walking distance. The only down side is the bar/restaurant. The food isn’t that great and the service is slow. They seemed understaffed and a female manager or someone in charge seemed to reprimand the staff quite a bit. ( I feel she should had maybe done that a little more privately but I’m just a guest) the front desk was amazing especially Steven. He was exceptionally helpful and very kind. The hotel staff couldn’t be nicer. The only downside is 10 is the last time to get any food within the hotel. I probably should have had food delivered but that’s on me. Great place to stay. Clean rooms and kind staff. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
