Excellent stay

Oct 3rd, 2019

Lovely bed & breakfast centrally located to all the main attractions. (It is 5 minutes walking to the Trevi Fountain.) The service is excellent. Joseph was always available by WhatsApp or phone to help with any requests like booking tours, taxis, answering questions, etc.). Definitely recommend this place if you stay in Rome! Full of character in an amazing location

Jun 14th, 2019

Staying in Rome for just 2 nights, we looked for somewhere central to stay. This B&B is in a perfect location, just a 5 min walk to the Pantheon and the Trevi fountain is even closer. The accommodation is part of a 16th century palace, so there are some quirks to the 2 story family room that we were upgraded to (thank you Caterina). The bathroom with its open beams slopes away and it takes a bit of getting used to showering with a low ceiling, but aside from that, it was perfect. Air conditioned rooms which were very welcome after long walks each day. The breakfast, of cold meats, cheese, juices and fresh croissants each morning was plentiful and was the Nespresso coffee machine. Matteo was extremely helpful and friendly, assisting us with a taxi to the Termini rail station on leaving - Caterina also booked a car from the airport to the hotel for€60...well worth it with 5 suitcases. I have nothing but positive praise for La Papessa, the place, location and friendly welcome. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very nice stay

Jan 12th, 2019

Francesca the host is amazing! She knows the area super well and made check in a breeze. She showed us a basic map and how to get around. Very close to main attractions and not far by bus to others. Very spacious room and our own ensuite and bar fridge with cold meat and cheeses as well as our own loaf of bread, toaster and kettle. Another area with breakfast foods was set up as a “help yourself” any time area which is great. Cleaning woman offered to make us coffee and then cleaned our room and folded our clothes and tidied while we were out, very nice. Spacious enough bathroom although shower is a bit cramped, separate toilet and bidet and drawers to put your things. She let us store luggage after check out as we had a late train and left us access to the building to come back and chill, use the bathroom and have a snack if we needed. The lift up was good after long days sightseeing as it’s on the 3rd floor. Negatives Room had a bit of a funny smell but it wasn’t bad. Cake in self serve area was a little stale but tasted good. Shower is a bit small and floor mat was too hard on my feet. Wifi dropped on on occasion. Can hear neighbours talking and tv, there should be more rules about quiet periods. Heated towel rack doesn’t work TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Exceptional! Excellent!

Oct 28th, 2018

We had such a lovely time spending a weekend here and CAME BACK 2 weeks later on the end of our trip to stay here again, because the location, room, accommodations and value was PERFECT! But, the personal attention the Manager Ketty showed towards us while there additionally her generosity & understanding with a scheduling date mix-up (that was entirely my fault), raises this beautiful person and her 2 Hotels she runs well above the competition that is out of their league entirely! 10/10 STARS!! (Again) We hope to see you again soon! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Loveeee La Papessa !!!

Jul 27th, 2018

La Papessa was sooo great! I highly recommend this to anyone staying in Rome! It’s 2 minutes walk to Trevi and Pantheon. It’s 5 minutes to Piazza Novanna and the Spanish Steps. It is walking distance to piazza Venezia, and the colosseum. It’s a short cab to the Vatican City, and a 20 minute walk to Trestevre. It’s right on Via Del Corso where there’s a lot of stuff going on but it’s on the 3rd floor so it’s quiet at night. Katerina was so nice and we had breakfast in the fridge every morning with orange juice, water, yogurt, meats, slice bread, croissants and fruit. Katerina made sure we felt like we were at home, helped us with anything we needed. The room was ready when we arrived and we couldn’t have been happier. The only thing that wasn’t ideal was the size of the shower, but I’m not looking spend my time in Rome in the shower so it didn’t bother us. Thanks again for everything!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
