Dirty Sheets

I stayed at this location for a total of 7 days and 6 nights because I started a new clinical trial at MD Anderson Cancer Center. For four days, hotel staff knocked on our door every morning and asked if we needed assistance. We only request fresh towels everyday and nothing else. However, on the fourth day, we wanted our room tidied. After a ten hour day at the hospital, returned to a clean room...beds made, bathroom cleaned, fresh towels and even the toiletries restocked. Hop in the shower, put on pj’s and got ready to rest. I turned back covers to discover that although the bed had been remade, the sheets had not been changed. Strains of my hair and stains from chicken noodle soup (I wasn’t feeling well, took my dinner in bed) from last night remained on the sheets. I contacted front desk only to be untruthfully told that housekeeping wasn’t allowed to clean rooms until guests had checked out. Huh? Remember, housekeeping had asked us if we needed assistance with anything everyday until today, 3/18/20 and we declined. I said, so housekeeping is allowed to clean the room, clean the bathroom, replace towels remake the beds but not FRESH sheets?! I was offered a half of an excuse, something about that’s what she was told but no genuine concern nor any offer of fresh sheets. I’m not a difficult person. I would have made the bed myself. I wouldn’t have wanted my room cleaned any more after the fourth day. I felt very disappointed, disregarded and hurt. BYOS... bring your own sheets! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Not Even Close To Okay

The free breakfast is not edible. I know you should not complain about free but I would have rather starve. The coffee wasn't hot. There was a funky smell throughout the hotel and in the room. The front desk doesn't greet you with a smile or a welcome. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Would stay again

We enjoyed our stay here. It’s obviously an older hotel (the bathroom doors were quite interesting!), but our room was relaxing and clean. Perhaps the hallways haven’t been renovated, but they were quite dirty. Everything else about the property was quite nice. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great staff and location but hotel needs an upgrade

The location is great, the staff is great, and I appreciate the complimentary breakfast. However, this was the first La Quinta I’ve stayed that that was disappointing especially for being in the galleria area (which is a high end area). Everything just seemed outdated. Stained carpeting everywhere, paint chipping off doors and walls, extremely slow elevator, room smelled like moth balls, the ac didn’t function properly and the plumbing system was an issue. For this location I definitely recommend upgrading the hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good location

Good location hotel ground well kept ,hotel inside very clean. Front desk very helpful and professional and friendly rooms nice size and bed was excellent. Breakfast was adequate could you more variety everyday. Hotel well lighted at night TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
