Made reservations 5/23. We weren’t informed on website that: (1) No breakfast (told after check-in). (2) No maid service. (3) No pool, gym or hot tub. The next day I went to room at 4:30 and called that room wasn’t made up. I was told to pick up towels at front desk as stated on sign on front desk. When I went downstairs, The desk clerk pointed at the notice on the far end of counter. These expected amenities should be verbally told to customer @ checkin (also stated on website). Wyndam states on their website that they are deep cleaning all rooms and public areas and are giving each customer hand sanitizer (stated on website). Didn’t see any hand sanitizer, just a lot of angry customers. When I was waiting to check-out, One client went into the kitchen and took the large coffee pot to his room. The desk clerk mentioned that the coffee wasn’t for guests, it was for staff. The angry guest said there wasn’t any hot coffee in his room. The clerk said yes there was, and he said no there wasn’t. The person in front of me online came down for more coffee. Said the maid said she didn’t have any extra coffee on cart. The clerk confirmed this that they only have enough for the room they are cleaning (only cleaning rooms on checkout of customer). There are no ways around a lot of this to maintain customer satisfaction. * A grab-n-go breakfast can consist of a muffin, apple and granola bar in a brown bag. * The person that normally maintains the breakfast area could give coffee in cups to customers. * At the very least, fresh towels could be left in bathroom of room. Leaving a laundry bin in the main lobby is tacky. So folks, until this hotel gets their act together, there are plenty of other hotels in the area. Airbnb doesn’t look too shabby either. Poorly Run; the Staff Doesn't Care

Mar 9th, 2020

This hotel is inexpensive, and you get what you pay for. The staff is not rude or unfriendly, but they also aren't going out of their way to serve the customer. One morning of our stay, the housekeeper knocked on our door a few minutes before we planned to depart. When we asked for a few minutes, she asked if we needed anything and after we departed, never took care of our room. I walked down the stairs the first morning I was there, and noticed trash. The next day, it was still there. The exercise room features a cheap elliptical, two broken treadmills, and a cable machine that needs some maintenance. And a disinfectant wipe dispenser that is full - of completely dried out wipes. The breakfast is adequate but nothing special (they do have waffle makers). The walls were not thick enough to block the noise of our thoughtless neighbors (this is not really the hotel's fault - I wish I could rate other guests). It's not an expensive place, but you get what you pay for, which in this case appears to be poor management leading an uninspired staff. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

FYI - dog friendly hotel and NO HOT WATER!

Mar 9th, 2020

During our stay, we were awakened by the incessant yelps of an angry dog left alone in the room by his owner. We DID NOT bring a pet and apparently were assigned to "dog hall," without knowing it. Room was just okay. Towels were placed under shower head so absentmindedly turned on shower and soaked the towels. Lastly, several of us complained that there was never hot water for a morning shower. Guess they only budget for evening wash. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

La Quinta Inn experience Jacksonville, Fl

Mar 9th, 2020

My La Quinta Inn experience in Jacksonville, Fl 3/5 thru 3/6/2020 was very enjoyable. The room was large and very clean. It had all the appliances needed for travel, mini-fridge, microwave, iron, ironing board, coffee maker. The location is centrally located but due to construction it was difficult to enter and exit. The personnel were all great and willing to help. The continental breakfast was sufficient and maintained. Will stay again!!!!!!!!!!!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

For the dogs

Mar 7th, 2020

I booked this hotel thru my company’s travel site because of the price. Then I read the reviews. Everything I read, I found to be true: the mattress sagged in the middle; the tv didn’t work; and housekeeping didn’t make the bed or wipe down the counter. I’ve decided the only reason to stay here is if you have a pet. I didn’t notice any odors and the barking dogs didn’t last long, but it’s not enough for me to want to return. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
