Convenient location

Stayed one night prior to our flight back home. We arrived a little earlier than check-in time so our king bed room was not available. The front desk staff was very accommodating and provided us with a suite for the night. The room was huge! 2 rooms with plenty of space. Newer carpet, but a little dated. Overall very pleasant stay. Restaurant was closed so cannot comment on this. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Moldy sandwich, scammy promotions

Stayed here for a week during COVID because I am traveling for work with my partner and our dogs - booked a king room online, got a double for the same price because they were “running low” on king beds. Checked in, TV was broken. Told counter staff, switched rooms - in the new room there was a MOLDY SANDWICH in the mini fridge!! So gross, especially during COVID and supposed heightened cleaning. Switched rooms again - third room was okay, but the counter person this time wasn’t even wearing her mask over her nose or mouth. Gross, but this is the fourth La Quinta we’ve stayed at, and there seems to be something a little gross about every room we check into. Paid full price, no free night after staying 7 because I didn’t press the special, difficult to find button to register specifically for the stay 2 get 1 free promotion despite signing up for the rewards system through that advertisement. Whatever. Would not recommend during COVID. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice evening

We needed accommodations for the evening, everyone was extremely friendly, and professional. The room was very spacious, king bedroom, mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. One of our better stays. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Visit to SLC

Great place, close to the airport and interstate. hate that during the COVID-19 Pandemic the hotel had to change their policy about no breakfast and the pool was closed. Room with king size bed had plenty of room and the AC worked great! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Okay, but I have had better stays at La Quinta

We had a not so good experience during our stay at this La Quinta in July 2020, mainly due to terrible neighbors. In the room next door to ours, it sounded like there were multiple large dogs. There was loud barking all night long accompanied by a man’s voice yelling to shut up. Additionally, despite this being a non-smoking hotel, there was a strong odor of cigarette smoke in the hallway all around our room. I informed the front desk, and the woman there said she would investigate. A short time later, I heard her knocking on doors outside my room, so I appreciated her following up on the issue. I am not sure if the smoker was ever located, but I suspected it was the same person who had the barking dogs (who would not answer his door when the staffer knocked). Overall, I thought this hotel was not quite as nice as other La Quinta locations I have visited. This is an older building, and despite it appearing well maintained, its age shows. Other than the two issues above, we had no significant problems during our stay. I think on most occasions, this would be a fine hotel. Staff members were polite and helpful, and our room was clean and pretty comfortable. I think it would be better if the hotel would place guests with pets near each other and away from guests who do not have pets. Those with animals could listen to each other’s pets, and those without animals could have some quiet. Due to COVID-19, the pool was closed and no breakfast was served during our visit. Housekeeping did not perform daily cleaning, and a plastic barrier was in place at the front desk. I did not observe any staff following CDC guidelines and wearing masks, however.
