Covid Safe and Amazing Resort!!
Dec 3rd, 2020
It was a dream!! This suite is missing a 4th wall and I highly suggest that you go with someone you are in love with or just really REALLy like. My husband and I went as a part of our honeymoon/elopement after we got 2020'd by our original wedding plans. We stayed 7 days and it was so perfect. It is a private adults resort. There are no TV's in the room. So this is a vacation you should take with someone you want to really connect with or reconnect with. This was everything we needed and more then we could have wanted. We needed a true "get-away" and this did that for us. You feel away from the whole world here. We were able to stay away from news of the world. They do have wifi and we even logged into Netflix and watched fun shows from our bed with the sunset in the background. It did rained about 3 out of the 7 days we were there and never for very long but it was euphoric when it did rain. It even rained one night and it lulled us into a gooooood sleep. It was simply beautiful even when it rained. Everyone has a butler, butler phone, and a tablet to order or request things just in case you need anything. The staff is kind, attentive, were always wearing masks, and social distancing. We both felt extremely safe. There are Covid approved excursions and we went to the beach, sunset cruise, and the mineral baths while we were there. I would highly recommend all of them. To be honest the room had EVERYTHING we needed. You can order anything to your room and with a pool and gorgeous view in your room...uhhh why leave? TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Find your joy at Ladera

My wife and I decided to elope to Ladera after our wedding had been canceled due to Covid earlier this year. As for many of us, this year was a crazy and all I wanted was to marry my bride to be in a beautiful place. WOW did we get our wish! Stepping into our suite literally took our breath away!! The only way to describe this place is "majestic." We stayed in a Heritage Suite, suite B, split level, open 4th wall, amazing pool and even better view of the Pitons! Every morning you wake to the mountains and the birds singing like you're in a freaking Disney movie. I would lay in bed just staring at the glory of this place, come downstairs...kiss the Mrs. and have some espresso from the machine in our room. Breakfast is provided every morning. The staff is wonderful! We had a butler and a phone and Ipad that connected to reception and the butler at all times, if we needed anything! And I mean anything! Cigars, cocktails, evening dining in your suite. They were so gracious and kind as well as safe and professional! We were given masks even though we had them, sanitizer stations were around, the staff took it seriously. After we did our ceremony that staff checked in and asked if we wanted a sunset cruise, there was an open spot. OF COURSE WE DID! And it was little considerations like that, that made our trip so incredible. Do all the excursions or do none of them! Staying here alone brings the quiet sense of peace and joy we all deserve in 2020! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

My husband and I booked a last minute to stay at Ladera. Due to COVID we had to postpone our flight and the reservation team at Ladera graciously accommodated the change in dates without a fee. From the moment we left the airport we were welcomed by the friendly Ladera staff and transported in a private taxi straight to the resort. It was about a 45 minute drive on windy roads through the mountains. Once we arrived we were temperature checked and our luggages were taken to be disinfected. We were welcomed with a delicious cold cocktail and a cold towel then directed to our suite. We had booked the Heritage suite and we were given room G. I wish we had requested earlier for a room with the pool on the porch because ours was by the door and didn't get too much sunlight. But it was great when it rained since most of it was indoors. The view from G was amazing though because you had a huge porch to enjoy both Pitons. I think if you are staying in the high top or the paradise ridge you get a view of one of them since its on the edges. But if you're staying between D-R you get a nice view of both since you're in the middle. The heritage suites included a butler which came in handy for the complimentary breakfast that was delivered in the morning. We took advantage of this twice as well as room service. Each room had an iPad to view all the excursions, request room service, turn down and housekeeping. We were given a cell phone too to contact concierge or our butler. The rooms were three walled meaning you're exposed to the outdoors. There was a mosquito net over the bed but I highly recommend bringing a lot of bug spray because all the bugs were attracted to any sort of light. We had a lot of bites coming back. Due to COVID, many of the excursions were not available since they had to be COVID19 approved. We did take part in the complimentary shuttle to the beach and the morning yoga up on the deck. The beach shuttle left at 10am and came back at 1pm. From there you were able to rent chairs for $10, kayak, paddle board, and snorkeling equipment. It was essentially a private beach and you can order drinks that were billed to your room. We did not worry because if we went off into the water, Dave was keeping an eye on our belongings. The morning yoga was hosted by Anson, who was amazing. After each class we felt so relaxed and calm. We loved each yoga session with him especially overlooking the views. The yoga class took place on top of their own hike which was about 10 minutes to get there. The property also had their own spa, but due to COVID they only allowed in room massages. There was a garden and woodwork shop where guided tours were offered daily. The food at Dashenne was really good. The breakfast included a lot of different options and everyday we tried to order something new. We could not venture out to try other restaurants in the area such as Chocolat since we had to stay on the property. Every time we left for an excursion or to dine in we were temperature checked. They took COVID19 seriously and took all the precautions to prevent the spread. I felt more safe at Ladera than back at home in the US. All the staff members at Ladera were so kind and welcoming. Some even knew us by our names and were always checking in to see how we were doing and how our day was. Overall, the staff, food, and views make Ladera such an amazing resort. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

My wife and I have just returned from 8 wonderful days in St Lucia where we were absolutely blown away at the Ladera Resort. It started perfect the moment we arrived on property and saw the cleaning and safety protocols in place. They welcomed us with a cool tropical drink that was impressive, and we had the option to make it with or without rum. After an easy check in we were taken to our suite where we enjoyed the view of a lifetime along with our own infinity pool. The staff was so warm and gracious everywhere we went at the resort. The first day we hiked the properties trails up to several observation decks with yet another stunning view of the Pitons. Along the trails were ponds, workout area that was made mostly of natural woods for weights etc, even a wooden treadmill that worked great! The property has its own wood artisans that have made most of the furnishings and carvings built into the resort’s ambiance perfectly. The food at Dasheen was exceptional and the highlight of many meals were the local ingredients that Chef Nigel and his team prepared. This was one aspect all the guests we encountered agreed was spectacular. Several of the other couples had stayed a few days elsewhere and said the food at Ladera was so much superior in every way. The island allows hotel guests to go to tours and places they have certified as taking proper Covid protocols. While there we enjoyed the mud baths and tour of the volcano, Beach snorkeling and sunning, ATV tour that took us into rainforests, across rivers and down to several beaches even seeing the ruins of a late 18th century water powered mill built by the British. Probably our favorite trip highlight however was deep sea fishing out of Soufriere where we landed a Marlin after a little over an hour fight. Ladera told us if you catch it we will prepare it. I was honestly skeptical as Marlin is no easy fish to prepare. 5 courses later my wife and I were blown away that the chef could prepare it so well in so many ways incorporating local ingredients and traditional West Indies spices. The Ladera is the most romantic resort I have seen and experienced in person and I can only say go online and book your trip today. We heard from every other guest we encountered how ecstatic they were to have chose the Ladera Resort as a great place to visit in these uncertain times. We also were shown the Spa under construction that will take advantage of another great view complete with restaurant. If you want to get away, try this resort and you wont be disappointed. Our future wedding resort!

Absolute paradise!!! My fiancé and I returned to St. Lucia for our 3rd time. We had always stayed at a different resort on the island called Ti Kaye, but after COVID, Ti Kaye had laid off their entire staff and hired all new people. By our 2nd day at Ti Kaye, we were so disappointed by the new class of service that we called Ladera and they not only gave us an amazing deal for the remainder of our trip, but also upgraded us 3 rooms. The staff at Ladera had all been there for many years and I can see why. They were friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure our happiness. We loved Ladera so much that we are planning our wedding there with our family in 2021! We have been to many other caribbean islands and this resort takes the cake. V, Leah, Elisha, Chef Nigel, Obi and everyone else who took such great care of us- thank you dearly and we can't wait to be back! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
