Old furnishings - no service but service fee charged
Oct 18th, 2020
We had three rooms at the resort for a adult family vacation. They charged us $24.95 per day/per room as a service fee/resort fee. Once checked in they told us no one would come into the room and towel exchanges were done once per week and left out in the hallway to do so. I thought some of the fee may have been for on-site parking but the only way to have gotten that was two apart by 10 AM and not moved your car all day long. Out of the seven days we were there we were only able to park on site two days and had to be shuttled a block and half away the other days. This resort has had a fresh paint job on the outside but the interior is very lacking. Many of their room amenities appliances furnishings etc. are outdated and old. I did not feel comfortable walking around the rooms in my socks as the carpeting just did not appear to be clean. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The hotel was booked via Booking.com while driving ( not the driver). Hotel suite for about $100 per night with taxes. After confirming the booking it was found out that a $34 per night Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel Resort fee was added. This was not seen during the booking procedure. Later found out that this is a fee that some hotels in Lake Tahoe are adding to their room charge. Crazy, misleading and wonder if it is legal to not include it in the room rate when booking. The only pleasant people were the valet and concierge people. The room has been stripped of electrical outlets, none on the bed side, none in the sitting area, not even around the table with 4 chairs where you have to sit if you want to work or play on your laptop. Crazy. The valet parking $27/night is high but works and you do not have to do it. The breakfast is so so, acceptable for the Covid situation. Not a resort/hotel to recommend. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Horrible customer service! Dirty hotel!
Oct 15th, 2020
Horrible service! We booked our patio suite through Priceline at a pretty good rate. This was a last minute reservation. We were pretty excited to go to Tahoe and even more excited to have gotten a room with a patio in Heavenly village. Well when we arrived our room was nothing like what we thought we reserved. The room looked like it had not been cleaned, robes were not provided (which was stated in the description) and we had no patio with a view. We had a window looking out to a brick wall. I complained to the front desk but they put the blame on Priceline. So I contacted Priceline and they informed me that the hotel should have contacted me regarding that room not being available. So I went down the next morning and spoke with the front desk and the lady was extremely rude. She claimed they called Priceline regarding the false advertisement and they knew that Priceline was doing this but couldn't refund my money. They offered a refund for the resort fees and that was it. They told me that I needed to contact Priceline again to discuss further compensation. We are home now and I'm on the phone with Priceline and I'm getting nowhere! I called the front desk manager and he refused to give me the name of his supervisor. I couldn’t believe how rude he was to me! So I googled Bill Cottrill (General Manager) and I’m waiting for his response. We shall see... TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Disappointed with the cleanliness, we are currently staying in room 724 and I’m in shock. The room had a seal of clean room but we’re far from it. Pillow cover had yellow stains and dirt from previous guest, called front desk and they sent different pillow case, the doors have stains and the bathroom smells like urine. Truly disappointed especially for the price we are paying per night. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Beware - Only in it for your money
Sep 6th, 2020
First visit to Tahoe and while I realize there is a pandemic, this place is only in it for the money. We booked a balcony suite and the pictures and video of the room online looked pretty nice. The balcony was dirty with bottle caps and wrist bands - clearly it hadn't been touched. We re-sanitized our room. They change a resort fee of $37/night plus $27 valet parking. The only thing open is the pool - big disappointment. The breakfast in the morning is pathetic. Hard scrambled eggs and rubbery pancakes. The staff spend more time looking at their phone than doing their jobs. Some staff weren't even wearing masks. Whomever owns this place doesn't care. Beware. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
