Super Spot

We were greeted kindly and they were happy to have us. Gave us a room on the top floor, center. We loved hearing the rooftop music though the evening loud and clear while hanging outside on the porch people and wave watching. Rooftop music and dining settles down and the beach bars below come to life. You can still hear the party from the top floor, but silence when the sliding doors close. We stayed here a couple nights then dropped mom for three nights on her own - she had a blast too! The rooms were standard, no frills - but the balcony and view rule!!! If it were pet friendly, I'd visit annually. Way to keep part of this strip live for us beach bums Lani Kai!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Room was falling apart walked into cockroaches and other bugs

They are not friendly at all my Rent-A-Car got hit the very first day and they said they tried contacting me but it was my daughter-in-law's number they could have at least put a note on my door so the next day when I discovered the damage they told me to call the police I mean really they should have called the police right away because I guess the kid was drunk and didn't want to stick around for any medical help I staged there from July 7th July 10th since then I have been trying to call and talk to Tony but he has been ignoring my phone calls I believe all that's happened they should at least give me back my money they did credit me $65 but the total bill was almost $500 so I will give tony another chance he's on vacation the owners Bob and Grace Conidaris should be appalled by the actions taken because they never called me back I even spoke to Melissa who is in the executive offices and she just drop me like a hot potato one positive thing was the food on the upper deck we just leave the gentleman a generous tip of $20!!! I feel I'm titled to a full refund because there was so much more to this three night stay thank you for your time and consideration Doreen TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

if you are over 30 maybe even over 25 stand clear of this hotel...the decor is tacky beyond measure and the clientele are young and loud. The rooms are okay beyond this is a place for young people with little money. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Legendary Experience

Listen folks, those that leave critical reviews of the Lani Kai are either misguided or very naive. People that keep the kai alive don’t go there for a nice stay. They go there to hang out, have fun, and live life. The kai has been a legendary property in Ft Meyers. It’s not for the faint hearted. There is no place like it in the world. It’s a masterpiece that everyone should experience. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Never again!

I traveled to this hotel on many occasions over the past 20 years. We booked a two night stay last weekend and more appalled by some of the staff members. Because of this, we are by making our stay just one night. The smoke-free room that we were offered was not smoke free and reeked of cigarette smoke. They thereby transferred us to a different room. We stop by the Zanzabar café which is in the building of the resort.The man working that was very rude to us and was making fun of my grandson who has autism. We ordered two Coca-Cola’s. And the lady there was not wearing a mask and handed us to unwrapped straws for the drinks. When I asked her to please use a napkin and get us two new straws she proceeded to bring us the entire bag of straws and utensils over and open the bag and told me to put my hands in and take out the two straws. All the while the man behind the register was laughing and mocking my daughter and I and my grandson. The man working that was very rude to us and was making fun of my grandson who has autism. We ordered two Coca-Cola‘s. And the lady there was not wearing a mask and handed us to unwrapped straws for the drinks. When I asked her to please use a napkin and get us two new straws she proceeded to bring us the entire bag of straws and utensils over and open the bag and told me to put my hand in and take out the two straws. All the while the man behind the register was laughing and mocking my daughter and I and my grandson. We went upstairs to the office to report this and the manager, a young, black man who stated he was a manager proceeded to be rude as well. The lovely lady who helped us her name was Liz and she told us that the general manager the man in charge his name is Larry would be back the next day and would be in contact with us. That never occurred and we left the resort. We also ate at the top of the hotel And the waitress there also gave us a hard time about wearing her mask mask the correct way and social distancing us from other tables. I’m going to try to remember the happy memories I had with my children going back 20 years and try to forget this past weekend which was horrendous. They also told us that we cannot complain to the owners because the man was 90 years old and he didn’t know what was going on. I have proceeded to find out the owners name and still trying to find out how to contact the family. Hopefully the staff can be trained in respect. Maybe it can be trained by the ADA in dealing with people that have autism. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
