Paris escape

Loved the hotel and location. If you live high end shopping this hotel has the best proximity to all shops. Very great service and a Michelin rated restaurant inside. Only issue is the bathrooms do not allow electricity show you need to blow, curl your hair In the living area with no mirror very weird. Great place over all. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Surprising !!

The spa doesn’t work well, by meaning... the sauna is cold, same as the pool, but the word is the atención from the personal. For the breakfast In the morning the is not space for everyone, so they make you wait until others finish. Otherwise, they suggest to do a room service! The Personal is not nice and the last day I've been robbed of money from my suitcase. In case you only want to be in that location, just sleep well, is perfect, having in mind the lack of honesty and good manners for the personal ;) The doorman’s are the only really nice people, always with a beautiful smile. I love Paris

Hotel lovely, room great, location great. Only complaint was breakfast. The room could not hold everyone, we had to wait, and then they were short staffed and some of them were rude. Front desk staff was excellent. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Horrible attitude, with xenophobic touches

Oct 31st, 2019

We have just left the Le Burgundy Hotel. We had a disagreement about the hotel policy related to children. On the hotel’s website it says that children until 11 can stay for free when using existing beds. A lot of times our daughter sleeps with us in the same bed as she is still tiny these days. The general conditions from Le Burgundy do not specify any exceptions. Check the screenshot. But when we arrived with our 8 years old daughter, they forced us to make an upgrade to a room that was double the price. The first question when entering the hotel was if our daughter is ours or not. No greetings, no hello. This happened Sunday evening. Elena was the reception employee at the time. Most of the discussion with her was blunt and I did not see any empathy and solution oriented approach from her. Our daughter was present and got a little scarred from hearing the discussion. She got the impression that she is not allowed into the hotel. The most rude reservation manager came into play the day after. Jessica [-] is her name. When we have explained our issue we had the surprise of being shouted at and even invited to visit other countries if we think the hotels’ policies related to children in France are not ok. The discussion went on for a few good minutes. During most of the time Jessica’s attitude was the same. I have a problem understanding how such a person can work in a 5 star hotel or in hospitality services. We have decided to leave and ask for our money back for the rest of the stay. In my opinion this hotel policy is a scam for forcing people to get bigger rooms. It is practiced throughout Paris at least. We have been in many other countries and never had a problem to sleep with our daughter in the same bed. In Paris you end up getting 2 rooms or a much more expensive room to solve this so called security issue. In the room that was given to us for the night that we have spent at Le Burgundy, the children’s bed was put in a different room, close to some stairs (about 2 meters) and next to a glass table. How stupid is that, if they are really interested in security? A child aged somewhere between 2 and 7 or more wakes up overnight sometimes. Those stairs would be a real trap for sure. In the end I need to advise people to stay away from this hotel if they have children or to be aware of the things mentioned above. Unless you like the risk of talking with incompetent, arrogant and aggressive employees. Our holiday was partially ruined, but we are bouncing back to enjoy the city. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This is a very luxurious and very friendly hotel. Very smiley staff. Excellent concierge Booked us a very good restaurant. Rooms well and generously stocked. The bar is excellent - a really good negroni. Highly recommend this classy and warm place. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
