Pros & Cons

Aug 6th, 2020

Pros: *location. Very private and on a hill but close to cannes. *We had a 3 bed duplex apartment which was very spacious and modern. *Resort was clean *They were kind enough to allow us, with all our luggage, to sit in their empty restaurant all afternoon as we checked out of our apartment and the RAC were supposed to give us a hire car as ours broke down but it took 9 hours to get one!! Cons: *After a 12 hour journey from the UK, we arrived, only to be told we could only use the pool once you book a 3 hour slot. Only 8 people allowed at any one time. You can only book 24 hours in advance and there were no spaces (we arrived Sunday and no spaces rest of the day, or Monday) we were leaving on Wednesday so we were very disappointed not to have been told beforehand. We would've cancelled and booked elsewhere if we'd had known. The receptionist lady told me it had been a common complaint. After telling her we were going to look at alternative accommodation (my non verbal autistic child is only interested in the pool) she said we can book a slot for Tuesday. We were so tired after travelling so long that we reluctantly agreed. *ants in the kitchen. Loads on the first night, not so many on the other days. Still, yuk *building work. Again, we weren't told that 3 huge cranes would spoil the view from our balcony and building work noise would go on most of the day. *The second day we noticed the air con in the lounge and bedroom didn't work. Reported it, took 24 hours for someone to come and sort it. Surely the gas should be topped up after every visit in the summer? *also noticed how filthy the floor was in the lounge and on the balcony. My daughter had black feet!! *the biggest let down for us was the pool situation. Once we finally got down there for our 3 hour slot on Tuesday, we discovered 15 people there. As there were 7 people in our party, we were told we would be there on our own. Spoke to reception as I didn't understand why we had to wait 3 days to use the pool (due to an "8 person rule") but others could come and go? One family told the pool boy they hadn't booked (in French which my friend kindly overheard) and he got 4 sunbeds out for them! I asked if the 8 person rule only applied to us because we were English. Obviously the manager said no but the evidence spoke for itself. He then said the policy changed the previous day but they didn't let anyone know. Hmmmm. Then he said the 8 person rule was just for children. Wow, he was making up the situation as he went along! *My non verbal autistic daughter went missing (she let herself out of the apartment) so I ran to reception as they have CCTV everywhere. I ran in and said my daughter is missing. Before I could say anything else, the guy behind the desk said they hadn't seen her. How did they know? Didn't ask a description? I asked if they could look on CCTV, I was really panicked, he just said "can you put your mask on" I was about 3 metres away from him and said "my mask is in my apartment and my daughter is missing, I have more important things to worry about right now" So unhelpful and not compassionate at all. I wouldn't go back. Its clear we were racially profiled as we were treated so differently to the French. Not good. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Avoid this place

Jul 31st, 2020

Stayed here for a week as a family of 4. They absolutely refused to provide room cleaning service using Covid as a piss poor excuse. When we insisted they offered us a mop and vacuum cleaner!!! Every other request was also met with a firm NON! Pool is small and un-inviting also have to book in advance!! Overall a bad experience and can find better more friendly places with the same budget. Great Place

Jul 25th, 2020

We are Diamond Members and this is one of our favourite locations. We have stayed here twice and are returning next month. The resort is small enough so the staff know you. The 2 bed apartments are spacious, the views from the balcony’s over Grasse and the Alps are stunning. The old town is 5 minutes away where the restaurants are outstanding only surpassed by the views. We visited just as the resort reopened after COVID , a special mention to all the team at Diamond for their attention to maintaining social distance and cleanliness TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great service, location and accommodation

Feb 1st, 2020

Stayed in a 2 bedroom unit. Check in was easy. We ate at the restaurant one night, it was nice. The bedrooms were nicely proportioned. Two bathrooms is always a plus. Lovely view from the balcony. Will definitely stay again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
