Absolutely Appalling - Give this hovel a wide berth!

Rooms were not made up when arrived Rooms were very dirty even after the 'maid'? had attended Rooms extremely small; I am slim and 5 foot I struggled to get into the toilet which is situated directly at the bottom of the bed, and no door! All of the above could have been overlooked but for the reaction of the staff when we were kept up ALL night by three very rude French teenagers having a party in the room 4 doors up from us. I must have asked 20 times for them to be removed. Finally the night receptionist, who I had to awaken from the sofa in reception each time I trekked down the three flight of stairs said he would contact the Police, but nobody came. In the morning I complained to the new Receptionist but she just passed an email address to me which I contacted, but have NEVER even had a reply. And to top it all the hotel is advertised as English speaking, which we thought would be useful as our French is basic, but none of the staff speak even basic English. We were so exhausted the next morning that we had to cut short our weekend trip to Versailles and pay an extra £300.00 on top of our previous return journey on the Euro Star because it was a late booking. APPALLING ACCOMMODATION AND SERVICE - GIVE THIS HOVEL A VERY WIDE BERTH!!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We reserved a room for 2 adults and a 14 year old child. The room was really small, also was the bathroom. It looks nothing like the pictures. If your chubby you probably wouldn’t be able to fit in the shower. Old and dirty looking. 👎😐😔 TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Nice quiet hotel, walking distance from palace

Nice budget hotel with friendly staff and just a 20 minute walk from the palace and railway station. You could consider staying here when you visit Paris as it is roughly 1:20 hr to get from the hotel to the center of Paris (walk + public transport). Basic room with small bathroom and good free WiFi internet. Breakfast was ok with nice bread, cheeses, fresh fruit, etc. A good deal TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Very comfortable, very reasonable, and easy access to both train stations.

I had a room with a toilet and a great shower (roomy, good water pressure, plenty of hot water). Reliable wifi. Room was spacious enough for me, and they had an abundant self-serve petit dejeuner. Staff was friendly, spoke very little English but still very helpful. If you are checking out and still want to go to the Palace or gardens, they will keep your bags for you. The hotel was easy to find as it is marked by signs along the streets (as are other hotels). It is a tad far from the Palace - not a deal breaker, but the walk back after touring all day was daunting. Great value for the price, would definitely recommend TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Reasonable 2 star hotel

A recent stopover on our first visit to Versailles. Well situated in a quiet side-street with payable parking. Expensive in usual hours but free on Sundays and evenings. Its an old townhouse of several stories and NO lift but with recently modernised rooms. Decent facilities, TV and free Wifi. The bathroom was a classic style over function with an oversized glass basin obstructing access to the toilet, in turn blocking the large shower. The shower head pointed all ways but downward and drenched everywhere! Ideal for a short stay in this fantastic city as it was walkable to all the attractions but it really could be cheaper and have better parking arrangements . TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
