weekend stay at a double queen room

Excellent stay - very comfortable pillows and bed, clean room. had complimentary breakfast - excellent as well with chef making custom omelettes, pancakes and waffles in additional to standard breakfast buffet. Reception staff very friendly and courteous. Location just minutes from restaurants and short walk to a main street with variety of restaurants and shops. The only thing is some stained bed linen which the staff quickly changed so it's not a problem at all - it can't be expected that they inspect every single sheets in the hotel during wash. Comfy, Clean, Convenient

Enjoyable place to stay with intimate scale and friendly staff. Breakfast buffet was pretty good with only hiccup being overcooked scrambled eggs and omelettes. We found it an easy walk to MIT and restaurants, and Nee City Creamery across the street for some excellent ice cream. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Le Meridien- excellent

The location in Cambridge is perfect. Next to Novartis and Takeda, and minutes from 35 other Bio/Pharma customers. The main floor is set-up to meet with folks and get work done. I especially appreciate the Lechner area for it's mix of no nonsense business and genuine fun. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Never coming back here, don't book your group events at this hotel

I was there with a group booking a couple of weeks ago. I travel using group bookings often with hotels all around the world. This hotel let me down almost constantly. Specifically, the following were all a significant problem: a) Booking was fantastically difficult. I had troubles getting a hold of a person who could actually make my booking because of Marriott's giant web of long distance call centres. It took calling three times, being disconnected twice, and then be reconnected with three different people before I could make the actual booking. b) I needed to change the dates of my booking. This also proved to be an insurmountable task. I called three different times and each time they claimed to have made the change, when really no change had occurred. d) The room walls were very thin and you could hear everything that was happening in the hallway. e) They were supposed to bill the room to my work, they charged my credit card left to hold the room but it took me 3 phone calls and 4 emails to get this issue resolved. It's actually still not resolved because they have not given me the money back that I was originally charged. f) It took 4 emails also dealing with the charge on my credit card to also point out that they hadn't assigned any bon voyage points for my stay. That also still not have been resolved. I'm not sure if this is a Le Meridien issue, or an issue with the Marriott, but I have had an extremely negative experience and won't be going back to this hotel. Furthermore, I am now sceptical about all Marriott hotels. Maybe they have grown to be too big to keep up with the service and efficiency expected in the hotel industry? TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Old reliable.

The meridian Cambridge has been my “old reliable” for many years now, as I often visit Boston to see friends. I really enjoy seeing the familiar, friendly faces of the staff (Lulzim has opens the door here to greet me and always makes me feel like I am coming home). , many of whom have worked here for years. This says they are doing something right at the Meridian. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
