A good value

Aug 9th, 2019

For the price a good value. An easy walk to the Oak Brook mall. Clean modern. Fun place. Sort of a 60’s feel. The room is a bit small reminded us of Europe. Located in the sand lot as Cheesecake Factory. Refrigerator and safe. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Eh, ok but not up to Le Meridien standard

Jul 18th, 2019

Stayed here for a few nights as part of a business trip. Due to my Marriott Bonvoy status, have access to the executive lounge. The hotel itself is clean, modern and typical Le Meridien style and decor. Staff is friendly, helpful and professional. The rooms are clean, updated with standard modern Le Meridien decor. An unfortunate aspect of this Le Meridien compared to others are the walls between rooms and the doors. They are not up to Le Meridien standard of sound dampening. Every night, I could hear my adjacent room neighbors as though they were in my room(talking, TV, etc.). Could hear every noise from the hallway whenever someone went by if they were talking. One really negative about this Le Meridien compared to others: the executive lounge in the evenings had NOTHING in terms of food/desserts/appetizers. Breakfast in the lounge was fine with both hot and cold assortment of foods. Overall, an Ok hotel but not up to the Le Meridien brand class. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We love El Meridian

Jun 29th, 2019

We stay here when visiting our family back in Chicago. It has a great location right off of most of the major expressways. Parking can be a challenge as there are so many restaurants nearby. We really enjoy breakfast in the restaurant. The last couple of times we’ve stayed here, Juan has waited on us for breakfast and not only is he super attentive, he is sweet, accommodating, and welcoming. The Illy Cafe espresso machines in the room are a great touch. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Not worth the cost

Jun 25th, 2019

Expensive for what you're getting...its an updated late-model hotel. Parking was terrible, as the lot is shared by a mall and restaurants. It was clean, but absolutely no frills. We were only looking for a decent night's sleep. We didn't get it. At approximately 2:30 AM we thought there was a fight outside our window. Upon inspection, it was just a party of about 15-20 people screaming and drinking around an outdoor fire pit 20 feet below us. It went on for over an hour. What kind of hotel management allows this? I feel ripped-off. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Comfortable and good location

Jun 7th, 2019

We only stayed one night but, we enjoyed the hotel for a number of reasons. Our room, 813 a corner room, was comfortable and spacious. Only problem I had with the room was the coffee maker which is an "illy" which uses little plastic coffee pods that are destined for the landfill for thousands of years. I went up to the lounge and got a paper type cup of coffee. The lounge was very nice with great views from the 9th floor. I had breakfast in the lounge with lots of good fruits...glad it wasn't crowded. The location is good for us...maybe not others but it was for us. We stayed here before heading into the city of Chicago the next day. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
