Wonderful hotel

Dec 4th, 2019

We booked at Le Meridien Prior to reading reviews on TripAdvisor. So, we were somewhat cautious. Much to our surprise all the negative reviews were debunked. We arrived at a circular drive, a luggage cart was at the front, check in was simple and pleasant, room was obviously new, clean and in good order. Hotel common areas of the hotel were also clean and orderly. Restaurants and shopping were nearby and some within walking distance. Parking was free and readily available. My number one priority for rating a hotel is water pressure in the shower. Water pressure gets five stars. Television, refrigerator, lighting were all top shelf. A nearby restaurant named the clubhouse also highly recommend. Monday night is half-price bottle of wine night by the way. A bottle of cakebread for $45 is a bargain. So book with confidence and enjoy your stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

close to shopping and Dining

Nov 23rd, 2019

Hotel is very Modern. Room is a bit Dark if you are trying to Apply Makeup. Service is outstanding in both Bars, Front Desk, and restaurants. The Valet and driver of the Le Meridien Hotel is Lorenzo. he is extremely helpful, very accommodating and willing to drive and pick you up to local sites, Shopping and dining. He is very friendly and welcoming. He is Top Shelf. bathroom areas are rather small with no room to place your stuff when getting ready after a shower. Also could use better lighting Also, I cut my leg on the glass table corner in the Lobby and seating area, Be very careful getting close to the table when it gets crowed. Edges are very sharp. I Found My New Happy Place

Nov 21st, 2019

I've found what I've been looking for in the Chicago area. No longer will I pay the extra money for parking in downtown. The hotel and the staff were excellent. Check in made easy through the Bonvoy app got us into our room within a matter of minutes. The front desk staff was more than accommodating. When we returned from an event, extra pillows and room amenities had been delivered. The added amenity of shuttle service was great. Lorenzo was very helpful and accommodating. We will be returning soon. Thank you for making our first stay a memorable experience. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Diasappointing and unprofessional

Oct 27th, 2019

Unfortunately I made a very unpleasant experience at Le Meridien this month. Despite being a regular visitor of Marriott hotels and having stayed at this place several times before, the hotel declined a room to me because of an over-booking situation. This was very unpleasant esp. after a long intercontinental flight. Even worse, the hotel was well aware of the situation (they had prepared a booking a another hotel in the region), but they did not care about informing neither myself nor my company about this situation upfront. This is not the way of working I know from many other Marriott hotels - what a pity. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

No AC in the room during the winter

Oct 14th, 2019

I decided to try the Le Meridian Hotel brand in Oak Brook, IL. It was a first and last time. I set the temperature for 66 degrees and the room never went below 76. After calling the front desk I was told the hotel has switched to the winter mode and the AC does not work and the room will not drop below the 76 degrees. The windows do not open so I basically slept in a sauna. I had a 3 night rsvp which I obviously cancelled the last 2 nights. Also, the concierge lounge is bare bones. I ate at the restaurant in the lobby and would not have eaten there again if I stayed the last 2 nights. I ended up booking a room at the Westin in Lombard, IL about 2 miles away.
