What a Mess
Jul 2nd, 2020
I will say wife and I have stayed here several times previously. Location is nice. The rooms are large. Hotel is nice. Last week We had planned a two night stay in Dallas and booked two rooms for two nights. The first night the sink in my daughters room bubbled up through the sink overnight and spilled water across the counter and all over the bathroom floor with black debris that came up out of the sink. My daughter realized this the next morning when she got up and stepped in the bathroom and it was all wet. All of the stuff they had on the counter was ruined including their make up and electric toothbrushes. Thankfully their phones weren’t in there. I spoke with the GM of the hotel, Ronaldo and he assured me we would not be charged for that room for that night since I had to replace their stuff that was ruined. Of course 3 days later my CC got charged for both my room and their room. 🙄 I will give them some credit. They did not require us to stay the second night as my daughters did not feel comfortable staying there again. They even let us keep our bags in the room until 8 o’clock that evening which was nice (although we could’ve simply put the bags in our car since we were driving). Disappointing in that we have stayed here several times before and rather like the hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Very nice stay in Galleria area
May 4th, 2020
Was traveling for business for several weeks and had first very good sleep in Le Meridien by Galleria Dallas! I want to thank staff of Le Meridien for making my stay very enjoyable. Room is spacious and clean, whole hotel is very nicely situated next to Galleria Dallas, bar downstairs is very good with nice staff. My shower was broken in my room and I almost got burned - here I have to highlight staff's response who came in seconds to check if I am okay! Also fixed shower in next few moments (thank you guys once more). Their amenities are one of the best in Marriott group. Pool area is very nice as well (can get busy during Fridays/weekends). Highly recommended, definitely will come back for another business stay in Dallas area! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Not a true 4 star
Mar 18th, 2020
I stayer for a total of 4 nights and I wont be back. I will list the pros and cons and you make the decision yourself. Pros- 1) Right across the street from the Galleria 2) Has a indoor pool 3) Has a bar and restaurant on the premises 4) Rooms are decorated beautifully Cons- 1) You have to use in the elevator to get to your room (what if you had a guest come visit....you would need to be presentable enough to meet them downstairs) 2) walls a paper thin (I had to listen to a party in the room above me with my 7 year old until 3 am) 3) Room Cleanliness- I stayed four nights...only one of those nights was the room actually cleaned properly 4) Front desk personnel- Needs a refresher in giving GREAT/4 star customer service. Jennifer was the best. Monen doesnt need to be in a customer facing position. 5)Parking- Self parking was expensive at 20 dollars a day. This should be free as the parking lot sits right outside the hotel 6) Vending machine doesnt take dimes. I had a pocket full of change and a upset stomach. Can sodas and bottles are BOTH priced at 2 dollars. Overall I have been across the world in 5 star hotels and was very disappointed with this Mariott brand. I expected more and recieved quite a bit less. I would say a really nice 3 star. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
While the rooms are quite large, the hotel misses at luxury
Mar 8th, 2020
The location is great and the decor quite modern. The rooms are all quite large but it misses at delivering a quality experience. The sheets are not ironed, only two bath towels, no free water, no free newspaper etc. If you get a good price stay there but if the price is at the level of Westin or Marriott, I would skip it TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Oversold Property - Gave Away My Room
Feb 26th, 2020
I am a lifetime Titanium Marriott member...probably should say that right away. Because that gives some context to this. I've stayed almost 900 nights at Marriotts over the past 11 years. That's a LOT! Well, apparently the owner of this hotel doesn't care about Marriott loyalty. He/she cares about money. I arrived at almost midnight to be told then and there that I no longer have a room....why? - because they oversold. Well, so I must be staying at the JW, right? Nope. You're by the homeless and crack heads at a less disireable property down the street. Don't risk it. Stay at the Renniassance. I've stayed there many times and they treat their guests like people they care about. Beware of the Meridien! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
