Ask for Jill

Nov 24th, 2020

We had an amazing production in Frankfurt and Jill made our stay even more amazing! She is the most amazing host, so just go and talk to her. So whenever you are around, ask for her and say hi! Jill, all the best! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Bad WiFi

Oct 13th, 2020

It’s a really boring utilitarian business hotel with bad WiFi. Like many german Hotel’s it’s strictly funcional and bland, nothing special. You’d use it for work or business, but the in room WiFi is excruciatingly slow which makes this haphazard. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very Nice Hotel Close to the Main / Train Station

Oct 10th, 2020

The Le Meridien in Frankfurt is located close to the train station and the Main River. It's on a quiet side street with very little traffic or street noise. Check-in was very smooth and the hotel is spotlessly clean overall. My room overlooked the small park outside the hotel entrance. Although somewhat small, my room was very clean and modern with a pot to boil water in and instant coffee. I spent some time reading and having a beer in the downstairs restaurant. The ambience of the restaurant was nice, it was quiet until about 7 pm, and the staff and food were above average. I think this is an ideal spot for a work trip. If you are traveling as a couple I would seek out a larger room at the hotel or on another property. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Average experience

Sep 30th, 2020

Middle-of-the-road experience at this property. Check in was very slow, perhaps due to COVID issues and that half the hotel was shuttered, including all the suites (apparently), so no elite upgrades. Mini bar was empty (apparently, only suites get stocked mini bars). Area is very central- convenient, but very dodgy park just outside with a cast of characters I would not want to meet at night. Breakfast was ok, but egg was floating in oil, and choice lacked variety (berries, smoked salmon, etc...)- at the time, a highly modified they-serve buffet. Hopefully it has gotten better since the summer. I would consider another stay here, but I also know there are many other good hotel choices in Frankfurt. Coffee with breakfast was excellent. Excellent, balanced luxury

Sep 17th, 2020

Having stayed in many different hotels in the Frankfurt area I decided to book at the "Le Meridien" as it kept on popping up in my Bonvoy app (it was a SPG property before the merger). I must say, I regret not having done this earlier, as to my opinion the "Le Meridien Frankfurt" is the best hotel in the Frankfurt area that I have stayed so far. It show luxury, but not over the top (so balanced). The staff is great and friendly (did not run into anyone who was grumpy, despite the COVID19 tensions and measures for instance). Also, there was an issue with the replacement cups of the coffee maker in my room, and I received a nice personalised note explaining about the problem and the solution (free coffee vouchers). This was well thought of. Also, I did receive an upgrade from the junior suite I had initially booked to the Skyline Suite, which was really nice obviously, but even within the junior suite I would have really enjoyed the entire stay. I did read about some criticism about the area where the hotel is located, I guess it's just which way you wanna walk, as the are of the Hauptbanhoff and the Kaisserstrasse are easily to be circumvented to arrive to some of the great spots of town (for instance, the river is a 4 minute walk away, the Alter Oper area is about a 20 min walk, so plenty of great options).
