Overview

Many rooms overlook Jardin des Tuileries
Rooms are on the smaller size

Part of the exclusive Dorchester Collection of hotels, Le Meurice can be best described as an opulent and regal retreat. This grand hotel has been part of the Paris hospitality scene since 1815 and has hosted European royalty, celebrities and even renowned artists (Salvador Dalí often frequented Le Meurice). Boasting fine French dining at Restaurant le Meurice Alain Ducasse (a Michelin-starred restaurant) and signature cocktails in a cozy bar, guests will be sure to enjoy the traditional Parisian culinary scene on-site. But it's this hotel's location – and the views from its rooms – that really wins over visitors. The hotel sits on Rue de Rivoli, near many of Paris' upscale shops and the Louvre, plus several of Le Meurice's accommodations overlook the Jardin des Tuileries. All rooms at the hotel include free Wi-Fi access, marble bathrooms and desks with reading areas, while some upgraded suites include separate sitting rooms and a complimentary bottle of wine or Champagne. Previous guests praised the staff's friendliness and the gorgeous decor at this historic property. One gripe among past travelers, though, was the high room rates charged for a stay in the property's compact rooms.
