Fabulous Hotel, amazing staff - you must stay here in Old Montreal!

Sep 7th, 2020

What a wonderful Labour Day weekend holiday we've had at this hotel. Working with a luxury hotelier, I put a more critical lens when we stay at other hoteliers - Hotel Place d'Armes is 5 Star and more - in fact, I'd invite their staff to come work with us!! Our room was upgraded by the front desk upon arrival, the room is massive, the huge bathtub is fabulous, the bed is luxurious and the Le Labo products are such a huge treat. The Hotel is spotlessly clean and every socially distancing thing you could possibly do has been put in place. My only fault - in the Gym, there is nothing to wipe down the equipment with - just the spray disinfectant and a box of Kleenex. The staff are the best customer service staff we've experienced at any establishment - they literally kocked this out of the park. We will return to this Hotel at Christmas and can hardly wait to see everyone again - thank-you for making our stay such a wonderful, restful experience! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great hotel, great location

We loved this hotel. It’s located pretty much across Notre Dame Cathedral, you can walk around all old Montréal from there, Rue St Paul, Old Port and it’s also walkable to downtown if you don’t mind walking. Nice rooftop Bar/Restaurant. Brasserie 701 restaurante is good as well. Staff is extremely friendly. The room is good, comfortable bed, pillows and the best part is the shower. It’s literally the best shower I’ve ever had. I definitely recommend this hotel. It’s not a good time to visit though, not much happening, tourist attractions are closed, including Notre Dame Cathedral. But we had a good time anyways. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Fantastic Stay

Our stay at Hotel Place d'Armes was wondeful. A centrally located hotel near the Old Port. Rooms were exquisite and the breakfast was fantastic. The concierge was extremely helpful in recommending and arranging our 2 dinners. Definitely would recommend. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Absolutely fantastic

We stayed at the Hotel Palace d'Armes in February celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. Cannot say enough about the hotel, staff, food and experience. Nothing is ever a problem and everyone steps up and makes sure "your experience" is first class. Mentioning our anniversary trip and having never been there, they left us a personal note, a bottle of chanpagne and heart shaped candy for our special stay with them. (side note) the Inn we've been going to for our anniversary in Vermont for 26 years never even bought us a drink! Clean room, bathroom, Bath robes, slippers, breakfast room service....exceptional. As Old Montreal is a hidden jem, We had such a great time in February that we re-booked for a long weekend in July..... obviously thwarted due to corona virus. I was soo sorry and disapointed that I personally contacted the concierge with my regrets. As the two other times I've contacted them, they got right back to us. Albeit pricy..........waaaaaaay worth it. Go There! One issue: One of the bathroom mirror lights was flickering. Called the front desk and service was at our room in 10 minutes and was repaired/replaced immediately. We will ALWAYS stay at the Hotel Palace d'Armes in the future. Great place, Great location. Great location for Old Montreal

Mar 16th, 2020

We had a great stay. Room was small but clean and up to date. The bed and the shower were first class. Staff was friendly and helpful without being overbearing. The layout of the hotel is a bit awkward as it is spread over four buildings necessitating a walk from the front desk through three buildings to reach our elevator. This was a minor inconvenience, however, and did not overshadow an overall good experience. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
