We stayed in the Exec room with access to the lounge - the room was lovely, very good size, lovely view of the city - bit dated, but very clean. The exec lounge was really not good at all. Not a nice place to sit, food was terrible too. Staff very good in there though and could not be faulted. If you are only booking the lounge for the food and drinks - don’t bother. If it is for the bigger room - then yeah its worth it. The breakfast the next morning in the main restaurant was just perfect - the best breakfast we have both had in a hotel for a long time, if not ever! My hubby is very particulate with his breakfasts and he said it was the best he ever had! The location is very very good - I have stayed in many hotels in Leeds and this has the best location by far. There is not a lot to fault with this hotel to be fair, it is a bit dated - although still looks a very nice place and is so clean. Only drawback is that the exec lounge could be far better than it is. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Business Hotel with Lounge

A nice perfectly located business hotel with an executive lounge. The rooms are ok, but will soon be renovated. The bathrooms need it. The lounge has a small offering but the staff is great and the breakfast good. Evening snacks are horrible, but wine and beer ok, draft becks. The bed is as usual at Marriott great. Linen nice and pillow selection large. The bar on the ground floor is good and the restaurant too. The staff in general is attentive, helpful and really friendly. As I stay there often after testing every hotel in Leeds, this is important for me. Unfortunately the decision was made to close the pool, sauna and whirlpool, all of which I used to use during every stay. Now there is only a small fitness area with some equipment, but that's not my world. The TV system is uptodate and since I can connect my laptop, it doesn't matter that English TV is horrible and stupid. I can watch what I want. The executive rooms are a bit better and the windows good, i.e. the rooms are quiet. A great feature of the hotel is its location. Smack in the middle of town, Trinity is accross the street. And Leeds is great for shopping, pubs and activites. So the Marriott is the Hotel of choice. I have stayed here over 100 nights. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good localisation. Quick checkin and checkout. The room was big (number 207, 2 queen beds), clean and well furnished. The hotel staff is really welcoming and helpful. Just about the breakfast : lots of noise. My first morning here, people from the service are talking loudly with a guest that they seems knowing. I had to make signs to 3 of them to get attention and order something to eat. 10min later, two of them were still talking with the guy. One finally took a seat... I left 30min later, 3 staff member were sitting with him... TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I stayed here recently with my partner and i couldn't of asked for a better time! The highlight of our stay though, was Sharon in the executive lounge! I cant thank you enough for all you did! Breakfast in the executive lounge was not only a great meal but a great experience! I will be back as long as the executive lounge doesn't change! Thanks again! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I have stayed here a few times primarily because it is ( was )one of the few hotels in Leeds with a swimming pool . Arrived to find that the fitness centre no longer has a pool which apparently closed in October Just letting people know who are regulars and may not have spotted it I was also told that quite a few Marriotts are closing pools - not sure that this is correct but worth checking TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
