Scrambled egg soup

Jul 14th, 2019

This hotel is dated. No clocks in the room, no fridge, no outlets bedside unless you crawl on the floor. The tub bottom is a foot above the bathroom floor making climbing out with wet feet a daily ordeal (and explains why they highlight bathtub handles as an amenity). The biggest thing that I didn’t like was the soggy souplike scrambled eggs. There were pools of liquid in the serving pot, clearly there is no effort to cook the eggs thoroughly. On the positive side it is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, the bar is fun, and the location is pretty good. We always found interesting places to go within walking distance. Not a 4 star experience at all. Room ok but pricey, booked by phone but via an overseas call centre not the hotel. Public areas tired. Little things poor eg cheap orange juice at breakfast and very feeble over bath shower. Premier Inn in Leeds much better value. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Awesome

Top 5 Star Hotel in the city centre. Perfect amenities and great staff. Buffet breakfast is outstanding. Their Bar has a great range of ales and Gins. The cocktails are ingenious and surprising; Jack Daniels, Marmite + Honey 😳 TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Renovation Needed

Jul 4th, 2019

The Leeds Marriott Hotel is located in a high energy district of Leeds. Upon a Saturday night arrival, I found myself surrounded by seemingly hundreds of groups of Stag events and Hen do's. The party lasted all through the night into the early hours of the morning. The hotel was clearly at one time considered a top line property but that was long ago. The rooms need total gutting and renovation. The furniture is beaten up, the bathrooms are small and old with waterpressure of poorest strength. Despite the temperature being cool, my room was hot and oppressive making sleep very difficult. After saying something to the staff about my air, nothing was done nor any feedback on whether or not it was even looked at. Upon check out, I was asked how it was and I gave this exact feedback. Their response was "sorry, maybe we can make it up next time". Well, they had plenty of time to fix things but did not choose to. I usually love Marriott hotels but this clearly is not their finest in their collection. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Lovely hotel with lots of amenities. Staff were kind and breakfast was good. Very clean, staff were happy to keep bags due to train being delayed. I would definitely stay again. Pros Good breakfast, clean rooms, accessible and central. Cons None TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
